Lovely video, thanks for your work! Externally, I find both watches interesting, but would certainly buy the Yema. I own a Superman (Armée de l'air) and find the price-performance ratio excellent. Even compared to the numerous Swiss watches I own.

I have the Le Forban and it runs one second fast according to my timegrapher. So ultimately the complaints about the movement are just for the gallery....

I own the Malouine and the original Navygraf with the black dial. I love them both. But the Malouine gets much more wrist time. I just enjoy wearing it more. I just think it is a more attractive watch. The rubber strap is perfect. It is soft and supple. I barely feel it on the wrist. I have gotten used to the crystal. The hands are so prominent that I have no problem telling the time. Overall, the Malouine is a much better value. It is a beautiful little watch at a very reasonable price.

So, you have in front of you two watches: the 1st one is crap at keeping time but it has a decorated movement (that you cannot see). The second one is spot on keeping perfect time but has an undecorated movement (that, again, you cannot see). And you prefer the first one! A watch is supposed, before everything else, to tell the right time! You are reviewing watches, not paintings.

I suppose that's a fair criticism, but if my only concern were keeping perfect time I would put on a ten dollar casio. If I were reviewing paintings, I wouldn't necessarily prefer the one that looks the most like a photograph.

I really love the Le forban, if only they had a 42mm version of it😕

The Le Fortan ist chinesisch made. They assemble three part in Paris so they can tell "...its assembled en Paris". I asked them wether they can put a different movement in there, but they said "no".

Le Forban is sexier, I have the Yema and it’s designed to be very simplistic. I think both belong in a collection. Also, the Yema is extremely comfortable on a bracelet.

Was looking to get a yema superman, but sold on the le forban. I can live with the miyota movement. At least it works as opposed to what I'm hearing about the yema. Thanks for the review.

The Yema are in business since 1948 and the case back mentions the marine nationale exists since 1626. A tad confusing, misleading perhaps.🤔 The Malouine is beautiful ! 😎🥰

Really top notch review 👌🏻. Tks a lot. Actually, Yema seems to have lots a QC issues. Many complaints from the consumers. But if you’re on the lucky side, really great watch. The Yema you presented here has already alignment issues and most importantly accuracy problem. Tks to you, I’ll have a look at Le Forban that I had never heard of before your review. Tks again for your review. It really helps 👌🏻

Seriously. A Miyota 8000 series? Come on .. needs to be a Miyota 9000 if they're going go Miyota at all. And that terrible lume! I saw other reviews of the Yema keeping much better time. Is that even within the specifications that they allow could you have returned to watch? They both need to do better in 2021

I have the GMT version of the Navygraf … it’s a nice watch. Not usually big on 39mm .. I prefer 42. But .. not bad at all. I may have to make a video on it myself.

I'm sorry if I offended you by saying this but sir, to give a tie at the end, imo that was a cheap move sir. I'm still choosing the Yema but that was cheap.

Great review! I am stunned of the poor accuracies on both watches. I own an ETA2824 dive watch that consistently runs + 4 seconds per day, as well as a Myota 9015 that runs -5:seconds per day. I was thinking about getting a Yema Superman. However, after hearing your take on the poor performance of the movement, I will pass.

I sent my Yema back to factory to get re-regulated. I'll post an update once it gets back. I was disappointed the movement does not have a way (like a mobile stud holder) to regulate the movement easily. That was such a common feature of mechanical movements in years past.

@@americanlegendswatches Glad you sent your watch back to the factory. You should definitely let us know. I don't care if they have an in house movement… that Yema time performance you shared was unacceptable at any price let alone what they price their watches at.
