@@me6096-The Germans (aside from the SS) and Wallies had a general understanding on all battlefields that could have dated back centuries to knights and aristocratic officers fighting set-piece battles over honor. They mostly didn't hate each other. It's really sad so many killed one another when so very few held any real animosity towards one another that wasn't tied to their buddies who had died earlier in the conflict. But the Fascist leaders wanted to move the borders on a map and make their dicks appear larger, so they sent millions of poor soldiers forth to kill and die for them, and the democracies had to follow suit to stop them from taking everything. It sucks. The Axis' enemies were within, and they either didn't realize or didn't dare to make a move against them. Nonetheless, there were no end of examples of common soldiers being merciful towards the other. They hated the war far more than they hated each other. I would love a video that compiled friendly moves from one side to another. Like the medics being spared. I think these stories are super interesting and show not everyone chooses to be evil in war.

Great stuff! I have to say I despise having my subs page polluted with the useless shorts. I virtually never watch shorts and find it a waste of time to have to dig down to the stuff I actually care to see.

KZitem used to be so cool. Demonetizing a video for simply mentioning a group of people from a certain region on Earth is pathetic.

KZitem sucks by all definitions in 2023. They censor channels and viewers more everyday, stripping away our rights as users in the name of 'discrimination and harassment'. Its all BS and I hope Rumble takes over as #1 streaming website.

There aren't any actual PEOPLE running KZitem. That's the whole fucking core of the problem! KZitem will be studied by future generations as the prime textbook example of good things get ruined by insecurity and greed.

I'm assuming the Afghan war was censored by KZitem. But more content (if possible) on the Helmand and Kunar provinces between 2006-2010 would be amazing. Not sure if censorship would permit it though. But great work as always on this vid

The Americans were absolutely paranoid that the battle of the Bulge was to be reported as an all-American battle, under no circumstances was the impression to be given they were rescued by the British. Though actual command of the US 1st and 9th Armies was placed under British General Montgomery. Eisenhower had all British involvement in the battle removed from battle reports, and so he was livid when Monty held a press conference after the battle. Such was American insecurity that engagements like the one covered here are never mentioned.
@billballbuster7186

@@larryvanmillion No, Montgomery took over command of US 1st and 9th Armies on 20th December. The Germans were not stopped until the 24th at Dinant when Monty was in command. He also commanded the American advance pushing the Germans back 24 Dec to 17 January 1945. The fact is Monty led US Troops through all but 3 days of the Battle. However because of American politics or what ever you want to call it. There was a campaign to write his contribution out of the official account. Even going so far as promoting Bradley for winning the battle, though he never took an active part in it.
