Seeing all of those numbers and Units, shows how well and truly destructive the First two Succession Wars were; by the Third, most of them either no longer existed, or were shells of their former selves.

If there is interest I'll do a poll on KZitem before I compile all the episodes into a compilation and ask what people think. I just thought 50 minutes was too long to spend on the topic.

@@SvenVanDerPlank I think, and absolutely mean it as superlative to both of you, that Tex/BPL's two-hour forays prove there's a niche and want from the community. Though, hopefully, I won't miss the poll.

Hello Sven. A good video. One with a lot of good information upon the numbers available to the Houses in that Era. The video also more than points out the vast numbers of Mechs available to all Houses, and the conventional forces to back them up. Considering that a Mech Regiment is around 400 Mechs (including command groups), the fact that House Regiments numbered in the hundreds is scary. I don't know about you, but just the thought of 40,000+ Mechs is daunting, in, and of, itself. And a final thought... The Star League severely outnumbered ALL the Great Houses military forces, combined! It is not really a surprise in the light of numbers like these, and projecting those of the Star League's military, that Pax Terra was upheld for awhile.

Sven, of all channels and sources YOU were my first introduction to Battletech. I never played the games, never saw other videos before you. Your diligent historical-style delivery spoke to me and shaped my understanding of this franchise. I now own 20 minis and rising, happy to find a game and lore that suits my interests and I have you to thank. Keep up the good work, keep doing your thing man.

Thank you for leaving me a comment, I'm really happy to hear that. My own introduction to the series was through Critical Rocket's videos 6-7 years ago and one of the things that keeps me going is the idea that I can introduce somebody else so it's nice to read that.

Yeah, I could have discussed the navies more since the 2765 Field Reports give us a complete list of every single ship in service but ultimately they're not going to play any part. The handful of Draconis Combine Admiralty vessels that do feature later on are actually ones taken out of mothball and so they wouldn't even be in this video.

@@SvenVanDerPlank That understandable. Many of the DCMS, namely their carriers are are of the SLDF. The 2765 Field Reports show significant growth of their fleets during this time as well armies. Thank you for keeping this going.
