I bought the hyperlite 2s...skated the exact same way as my 16 year old vapor 40s. Comfy skates but no better than the old skates. Marketing at its finest.

Hi Pure Hocke. Are the Bauer Vapor Hyperlite 2 Fit 1 the same boot mold as the X5 pro Vapor skates Fit 1 ? I ask because I previously had an older Model Bauer Vapor from maybe 5 years ago that felt smaller overall (volume and width). The new models have a widder toe box and thats no good in my case, even Fit 1. Bauer claims Fit 1 is the same a the traditional Vapor line but that is not the case. What do you think ? Thanks
@purehockey

Bauer Vapor HyperLite 2, Fit 1 will fit closest to the traditional Vapor D width. Skates have changed from 5+ years ago so they may not fit the exact same. They may also need some break in time. Also, even with the fit system, Vapor and Supreme skates do still fit slightly different. Vapor is more narrow in the heel with a stiffer boot, while Supreme is a little wider in the heel with a softer boot.

Are these better than the Bauer supreme Machs? I’m getting new skates and coming from Bauer
@purehockey
Жыл бұрын
It depends what you're looking for. They are both top of the line skates but are built differently. The MACH's have a stiffer lower and softer upper, allowing for more power and mobility. The Vapor skate has a softer lower portion of the skate and stiffer upper for more ankle support for quick, agile movements. If you're close to a store we would recommend going in to try them on and see what you think fits and feels best.

I want to get these, I have the vapor 3x in a fit 2, 8,5. Should I size these the same? Someone said that the new hyperlites are ”bigger” and you should size down?
@purehockey

We would suggest staying with the same size you had, which was also a newer skate with the new fit system.

Hi, Need your opinion… should I get Supreme Mach or Hyperlite 2? Thanks
@purehockey
8 ай бұрын
This usually comes down to personal preference and style of play. Vapor is more narrow in the heel with the upper part of the skate being stiff and lower part being softer to optimize speed and agility. Supreme is wider in the heel with the upper part of the boot being soft and the lower part being stiff to optimize power and energy transfer. If you are close to a store, it could be helpful to try on each skate to see what feel more comfortable to you.

Are these worth the upgrade or will I be fine getting the original Hyperlites?
@purehockey
6 ай бұрын
The biggest difference with the HyperLite 2 skates that Bauer focused on will be the new PowerFly holder and improvements on the tongue for better comfort. The original HyperLite skates are still great, so can't go wrong either way!

I have bad lace bite on my current Bauer Vapor x3.7s. Would these skates stop the lace bite?
@purehockey
Жыл бұрын
Hey Russell, Lace bite is mostly commonly caused by an improperly fitting boot. While the Hyperlite Skates vary a bit in fit compared to the X3.7's, you'd probably benefit from switching over to the Supreme line of skates which accommodate a bit deeper foot. If you're around any of our 70+ retail stores, we'd highly recommend you stop by and get your foot scanned on our skate scanners so our staff can walk through the best options for your foot shape!

Is 10 to 10.5 shoe good for size 8.5 hyperlites?
@purehockey
4 ай бұрын
We usually recommend going down 1-1.5 sizes from your shoe, so if you're a size 10 shoe, an 8.5 skate would work!

How would these compare to true svh custom skates in terms of agility, power and stiffness, thanks
@purehockey
Жыл бұрын
The TRUE custom SVH skates are probably a little stiffer, but other than that, power and agility out of either skate will be very similar. It may just come down to budget and personal preference on what skate feel better to you.

What reasoning did bauer give for transitioning away from the internal mouldable speed plate? I’m looking at upgrading from the 1X 2017 and noticed this is no longer included. Any Insight?
@purehockey
Жыл бұрын
They didn't give specific reasoning but having a skate that is fully thermoformable, ability to choose your fit and now having fully custom skate options are likely some reasons for Bauer moving away from that.

Hi, i have tried Vapor 2x pro in 9,5 fit 2 from a friend and they felt good. Would These be the Same fit or are they more narrow? Especially the toe Box? The M5 pro i tried in 9,5 fit 2 was too narrow in the toe Box but the Vapor has a bigger one or more room at the big toe. Will thr toe Box be wider in a fit3? I have No Shop to try so i have to Order online. Thank you

If the Vapor 2X Pro in Fit 2 felt good, these skates would fit very similar to that in the same size and fit. A Fit 3 would have a slightly wider toe box but will be wider throughout the boot as well.

since this is built with agility in mind over the supreme line's powerful stride improvements, would a player with already long and powerful strides benefit from a skate like this to try and improve their agility? Or should they be looking to get more out of their stride with the supreme lineup? Also, you mentioned the ankle padding, but how does this hold up for the shot blocking needs of a defenseman?
@purehockey
Жыл бұрын
The Vapor skate won't necessarily improve your agility, it's just built for a player who is looking for a softer bottom and stiffer upper to support your ankles through more agile movements. If you like the Supreme skates, feel, fit etc we would recommend staying with those but if you're curious about a Vapor fit and close to a store, you can always come in a try them on. The ankle padding is for some protection but mainly for comfort. The boot is stiff so should hold up for blocking shots but if you're looking for more protection in that area you can look at shot blockers. Here is a link to some we have on our website. www.purehockey.com/product/skate-fender-pro/itm/7464-2/

The back portion of the Vapor HyperLite 2 skate was optimized by using denser materials for increased stability and balance. The information we have for products comes directly from the manufacturer.
