Peter Murphy was the vocalist of the group Bauhaus. Thin, with prominent cheekbones, a rich voice, and a penchant for gloomy poetics, Murphy is often called the "Godfather of Goth". This song-- Bela Lugosi's Dead-- is found on -Bauhaus Singles: 1979-1983, Volume 1.

If you watched 'The Hunger' as many times as I, you see Gaga wearing the same style clothes as Devenue. The swinging.... I was tripping out watching AHSHotel. We asked her for a jazz album she produced. She going into heavy metal in the future. We know years ahead before she outs materiel out. She drops encryptic hints in her tweets.

Some say this was the very start of the "goth movement" which sprung up many years after this song was released, way before it was even referred to as "goth". . I still think David Bowie from the early 70's was the original one who gave rise to Bauhaus, Peter Murphy, Siouxie and The Banshees, The Cult, Sisters Of Mercy, Type O Negative, etc. Bowie was the godfather of this particular sound, look and "feel".....hands down.
