My first passage of the damned waters was way back in 1977 on 4500 GRT German Dry Goods ship Christian Oldendorff...! My blood boiled on my first Sea fare...but was not scared...! There was at the time...either a Naval exercise or a sunken submarine was being searched for in the area...! Just SHAKEN and ROLLED like rug doll...! Everyone was SICK...! Thank for the video...brought back memories...😃

Sehr beeindruckendes, tolles Video!

. I was on a 298' Ship and we got caught by a storm and the seas grew to 25' with some bigger. I was a little nervous. The bow would would come out of the water and crash down with a thunderous boom. Then the screws would come out of the water and cavitation. The entire ship would shake and stuff was falling off shelves and chairs were banging around in the galley. The worst was I had to take a dump in those seas. Not fun at all.

I agree. No fun at all. Once I was in the North Atlantic during winter time in force 11 on a empty ship and when you see those huge waves towering over the bow, it is not good feeling.

That's some brave photography! The ship jumping up and down is bad, but that side to side rolling is some scary stuff! Thanks for the video. For some reason I love the ships in stormy seas. Wouldn't mind being out in it as long as the ship stayed safe. Wonder how large the waves were, and did you ever worry about capsizing?
