Cracking band. I was working in London when I first heard 'My Girl'. Blew me away. A few months later, I was working in Dublin, when Madness played at the Olympia Ballroom. 'Night Boat To Cairo' was high in the charts. The whole performance, the band, audience, the divers off the balcony..... was fuelled up with adrenaline and enjoyment. Fantastic night, best gig/show I've ever been to.

Age has caught up with Suggs in the last few years, bless him. For many years he never seemed to age - even as recent as around 2007 when he did those Birdseye fish finger adverts, he still had a boyish look about him, but in the last 10-12 years, the age seemed to start creeping up on him. I love the man and long may Madness continue - they are part of the soundtrack to me growing up in the 70s and 80s.

Phenomenal, after all these years and Madness still trying to stitch up the poor BBC...who the hell put forward the photo from their infamous "topless girls with bananas" performance of Embarrassment as the backdrop. Surprised they didn't go whole hog and opt for one of their Jim'll Fix It appearances!

Fantastic band. Been following them since the start when I was a kid. My nickname is Soggz, after Suggs. I’ve seen them a few times, in the earlier ‘Skinhead, Ska, days of 2Tone’. I think that was when the were at their very best. But they are still good, although I think they have dumbed down the Ska beat a lot. All the best.👍🏾🇬🇧
