Some cringeworthy moments there....jimmy saville references especially. How rude was Noel Edmunds to Chris Stein and couldn’t they at least have managed incoming calls to get at least one for him rather than all to Debbie. Blondie were not the most talkative band to interview but still you would have thought there would be a little better research by Noel before. Shocked really at how patronising Noel was to Chris about his camera, even the veiled insults about working out. I used to like Noel but here he came across as arrogant and controlling. Chris I thought did very well to ignore obvious put downs. Debbie looking at stunning but you can see why the band started to get irritated when it was all about her. It wasn’t her fault though that she looked that good. Never thought I would say this but maybe you can be too good looking so it’s a burden. I wonder if she ever got to find out who her natural parents were, if she got DNA tested. I can see why she may have believed she was Marilyn’s daughter at one time.

Great banter between and Noel I thought. Fair play to Chris for playing along and not taking it too personally. I realize our humour might not translate well across the pond, but it's worth pointing out that you have to like somebody to banter with them (if you don't like someone, you don't engage with them -or are actively hostile towards them). While the Yanks might see British banter as a bit brutish, we see Yanks being excessively friendly as being a bit fake and insincere. -That was some fine Blondie swag they gave away!
