He is second generation, but he did originally create a lot of the foundational moves and flavors. There was a foundation already there when Ken Swift came on the scene, but later on, Ken Swift built new things upon that foundation that later became foundation. So although he isn't the original founder of bboying, he did start a lot of new things that are foundation today.

rhythm is not all beat, dancing to a rhythm is listening to the different instruments and going along with different parts to the song, not just snares, but u can dance to the trumpets, the flow of the lyrics, the drumming or whatever.

beat hitting is doin a freeze on a huge beat for example hittin an airchair on an explosion fx in the music. beat riding is kinda playing around with the song, making a gun shape when there is a gunshot sound or kinda like if the music is really light and playfull, a beatrider would change his/her toprocks/sets to make it kinda float along with the music. in the redbull bc one, if you watch lilou vs physix, you would think physix won, but lilou wins cause he was beatriding the whole time

Style elements, were one of the first crews that started doing things that are foundation for this generation now. Like one handed hand hops, headplants, and certain variations of coindrop like movements. They are far from the generation of first generation bboys, it doesn't mean they weren't original founders of certain styles and moves that are considered foundation today.

What did he bite off of Ken Swift in this cypher? In this vid, Born is doing basic freezes, basic footwork. And there are certain techs that I've seen bboys do before in the past, but more so from third generation RSC member Easy Roc, rather than Ken Swift. Point out where the bite is from Ken Swift, which tech?

Even if Kevin Federline could do all of Baek's moves, it still wouldn't make him a bboy, because the definition of a bboy isn't just knowing some moves. Born knows the moves, but he knows the history and ideology of bboying, you don't, so don't try to make like you are at his level just because you can do a six step. There are foundational ethics/mindset to bboying, and foundational moves. Without the former, the latter just becomes rehearsed tricks.

But his six step and flares are cleaner than yours. Baek is dope, but just because a bboy pushes themselves to do more strength moves that look painful, doesn't make them a better bboy. And Baek isn't a freestyle type bboy, he has planned sets and transitions of freezes, that aren't freestyle. He wouldn't do well in a raw cypher in an underground event grassroots, the strong ones in that kind of an arena are freestyle bboys, who just connect with the song, letting the music move them.

Baek moves to the music with sets he has planned, which is good, but it doesn't make him a freestyle bboy. You admit you're an amateur, which is correct, your knowledge of hip hop, where it came from, and its ideology, is something you need to study. Knowing how to do a 6 step and flares doesn't make you a bboy, Kevin Federline could do a 6 step brother, he's not a bboy.

He was one of the ones who became the blueprint of what bboys do today, and created many things, and he's not a "real bboy" because he's not doing major strength moves, and does basic footwork techs and moves?? You need to go back to basic manners and respect for those who deserve it school, because you're not even at level one of hip hop introductory "school."

Stop using the term powerhead already. It's the same with "breakdance". It's not breakdance it's bboyin. Just like there's no such thing as powerhead and stylehead. Besides, only "powerheads" are noobies learning an airchair before toprock, footwork, or baby freeze. Standing freeze>babyfreeze>chairfreeze>airchair. You learn in that order taught by PoeOne. None of this "I wanna windmill before the basics bullshit..."
@ayyytony

@peter16742 you have NO idea what breaking is . just cause someone doesn't do power moves, doesn't mean they're 'amateur . in breaking, no one is better than someone else, there's always someone that's gonna be better than you . dissing someone is cool when its INSIDE the battle, outside, it just proves you have no respect for breaking . gtfo kid .
