Maybe canada can work on things as a country instead of provinces being so selfish and this would not happen, rediculous as it is!

Thank-you,, Rick Mercer ,, for bringing , this one up !! to every ones attention !!! We that Serve , far from Home give our heads a shake !! Province's fighting with each other ?? Where is the Intelligence ? One asks themselves ?? Ah , perhaps , they should think , about having Refineries Built , Refine their own Natural Resources ,, rather than export the Raw Resources. TO OTHER COUNTRIES ..Refineries make a heck of a lot more sense !! Not only for the Environment but would create long lasting jobs for both Province's .. But who the heck are We , with these thoughts?? We are just the Ones , that Serve ...

Alberta is actually going to lose tax revenue because of this. Not the wisest decision by Notley. They do not have the power to impose a tax however as that would be federal tariff.

Jean Doobe You had better get off your computer & cell phone and go hug a tree, because both are made with petroleum products!

Jesse Tombstone okay: pipelines not the issue imo, it’s after, when it goes on those ships... that barely fit through the inlet let alone the bridges. Then cross the outer harbour, the Georgia straigjt( to Victoria) and then the Pacific ocean. Now, they( coast gurd) can’t even contain a 100 L spill so how are they gonna contain millions of Litres of bitumen that goes right to the bottom?Ask the residents of Valdez Alaska about their spill experience! That town is dead. Hope you’re not a salmon, Halibut, crab.... This would kill it all period. Life starts at the bottom of the ocean buddy in case you didn’t know it. BTW, why won’t they fix the refineries here ?

Jean Doobe I totally get that Jean, but as we speak, we import Saudi oil up the St Lawrence River. There is no fool proof way of transporting (see Lac Megantic train derailment), but pipe lines are about the safest, and it would benefit all of Canada if we became more of a major player in the trading of petroleum. I love the BC coast line and would never want anything bad to happen to such an incredibly beautiful part of this country

Jesse Tombstone As long as the have a READY working plan ... anyway the oil could be shipped to the us ( where it’s going to wind up anyway) . Or like I mentioned open all those closed refineries 2 in B C , 2 out east. Stop sending it out to china! BTW, Canada is the worlds second bigest oil producer. I work for the railroad btw😉.

Good wine we can get elsewhere, but good beef? Ehh not so much... Unless you'd like to have only US beef.
