Today I finally got to put a few rounds through my Bear Creek arsenal buffer less, 9 mm PDW. I was super excited and happy to find out that it will actually cycle my double stack colt mags. Although I had a few hiccups, they weren’t a huge concern. I expect with any New set up especially something I built myself, There are kinks to work out. I did not realize was you can’t shoot anything but standard ball ammunition . After a few rounds, I switched over to hollow points. That’s where I had an issue and it could have been catastrophic. Thank God i’m OK. I by no means want to disregard Bear Creek Arsenal as a company. I think they are pushing the envelope and making some cool products. In a previous video I did some BCG comparisons. The BCG in my opinion is way too light. it is barely heavy enough to safely run ball ammo. I have converted it from Colt mags to Glock mags at this point and have not test fired it since. I think it’s a very cool concept but not for self-defense. If you use FMJ for self-defense then by all means but I would definitely not recommend that at all. As for now, my PDW has and will continue to be my PSA 9 mm AR and I will make another video on that at a later time comparing it to BCA. Size comparison and functionality. I’m not calling it quits on BCA and I will continue to put this 9 mm through its paces hopefully hitting 500 rounds by the end of the month. By the end of this year, I would like to get a few thousand rounds through it and give my overall opinion at that point. we are learning every day. Hopefully this video helps you out and if you’re not looking for self-defense with the set up then I think it can be a pretty cool range gun. Maybe even a competition gun. As always, thank you for watching pew_review!
