Inspired in the global complexity of the human communication, the idea of this talk is share a possibility to hear thoughts amplifying the brain waves; the artist using this signals as a trigger compose sounds recreating the experimental session of an electronic music pioneer Alvin Lucier “Music for solo performer” of 1965.
The Mind Experiences and Models Experimenter [MEME] framework use non-evasive electroencephalography trough commercial devices of Brain Computer Interface (BCI), to record information of user’s brain activity in the context of any specific experiment analyzing it using machine learning models to search for patterns and singular events according the objectives of the test.
[Music] is the module that send notes using musical instrument digital interface (MIDI), sequencing brain waves values with the tempo of an editable pad sequencer. In auto-frequency mode on, the software automatically translates microvolts signals in sounds according a frequency equivalence table.
