Buddy of mine bought a WK 180c Gen 2. I told him those guns had a habbit of blowing parts of the gas system out within a couple hundred rounds. He didn't listen. 30 minutes later, a brand new gun blew a damaged gas piston straight out of the front end, landing on the floor, along with his jaw. I feel that firearm manufacturing in Canada could be a lot better if it wasn't absolutely decimated with pointless regulations. Case in point, Colt makes the C series rifles for our troops and those rifles are incredible. Accurate, reliable, and pretty cost effective. Those guys aren't gimped by pointless regulations that are designed to make the public believe the government is "protecting them from "guns". Then you look at the Canadian consumer gun market, and it's terrible. Manufacturers have to try to skirt and avoid running into all sorts of regulations which means new designs in little time with barely any QA. That results in sub par guns and pissed off customers, and it doesn't have to be that way. I was considering checking the SIberian out, but still a bit nervous about doing so. Though, I have to say, one of my favourite guns in my personal collection is the Bison Ranger, and though it's a bolt, it has been incredibly reliable, consistent and fun since I got it - and the price to performance ratio is very good.

I agree with most of the things you said so I will respond to the statement about the siberian. I would pass, this one couldn't make it to 1000 rounds before breaking parts.

To be honesy guys, if your Canadian pick up a Smith & Wesson FPC. I know its 9MM not 223/556 but hear me out. It's $1000, comed with 3 mags and a bag. It folds in half to 18.6", and the best part is its frustration free. Dead reliable after thousands of rounds. After owning so many Norinco, Kodiak 180s gen 1 + gen2 , other 9MM pccs such as the TNW ASR and now this BLC srv2, its SO refreshing to have a lightweight reliable gun that holds 10 rounds and has a modern MLOK/ Picatinny profile. The trigger and ergos are great too right out of the box. Just trust me, if you want a gun that's worth the money and are sick and tired of all the shitty guns we have on our market, get the SW FPC and enjoy life. Also, 9MM is the most affordable centerfire caliber 💥

and with after market support in the future im sure they can add stuff like a bolt release and aftermarket stocks and grip extensions, even a wider charging handle for those that want it.

What ammo are you shooting? Mine will shoot 24.5gr H335 with bulk Hornady 55gr FMJs to about 1.25", that's with a Nikon 1-4 on top. I bet if I put another scope that I can actually see the targets with it would be better...

Yeah it seems like all of these 180 platforms loose screws for some reason. Don't know if it's lack of loctite or just having so many screws

Did yours come with updated firing pin? I just picked one up last week, having fired it yet im going to put a few mods on first.

Yes it did, I bought it when they just figured out the problems with them. If you just bought it new and not used it will have the updated firing pin. If you want to be double sure you can take it out and check if it's stepped. You can find pictures from bcl and if you have the old one they will send you a new one I think.

Have you had any problems loading fully-loaded mags under a closed bolt?
@gustavohonzofo
10 ай бұрын
No more than any others, any mag is right at 5 rounds so you have to tap them in pretty hard. My wk180 and my mcr was tricky to on a closed bolt. It's just our crappy mags. You might have luck with .50 beowolf or .458 socom mags for "reasons"

@@gustavohonzofo Thanks! I've seen comments that sometimes there can be a tolerance problem between varying makes of mags and rifles. I thought perhaps the process of pinning the mags might cause a bit of an issue as well.
@gustavohonzofo

@petesheppard1709 it's virtually all mags. Real magazines have a 31 round capacity but they load them to 30 it leaves alot of room to insert on a closed bolt.
@gustavohonzofo

Sorry I just realized you were in the states. In canada it's pinned right at 5 you have to hit the mag super hard to get it to seat on a closed bolt. On us gi mags I heard guys load them to 29 just to get rid of that issue.

@@gustavohonzofo Modern quality 30rd mags have a bit of extra space designed in so that a fully-loaded mag will lock in under a closed bolt. A 31st round can be crammed in, but then it WILL NOT lock under a bolt. I'm guessing that with the 5-round pinning stupidity, they can't leave that bit of space, lest some 'criminal' squeeze in that one extra terrible round. [sarcasm]

I would argue it's middle of the road, the wk180's gen 1's and gen 2's are way worse but it definitely doesn't hold a candle to the templar or the bren. We don't have alot of options and unfortunately in my opinion this option is in the mid teir.

Oh man sorry to hear that mine has been amazing I mite have got one of those special ones that just work better ..but dam I have shot high end ARs state side knights armament / DD's and others but no joke I really love this gun (full disclosure) I have not had thousands of rounds through it yet ..but in the 1500-2000 range and It has been flawless except 1 or 2 light primer strikes but in all fairness it was bad ammo in bad conditions ..so far not one Issue with reliability..no feeding/ ejection issues ..no mag issues and I would dare to say it is more accurate or at least on pare with any of the semi guns I have shot state side or at home ..side note the machining and tolerance is very good for and AR platform ..small very small amount of wiggle between upper and lower but hey that's ARs in general and we all no a 2cent O ring is the fix ...have to say a have not felt or seen I tighter upper the this platform..platform ..A++ for Canada and definitely up there in 223/556 rifles state side or not ..(to be clear I may have a unicorn ) but take that for what it is ..this review was written less then an hour after shooting 200 rounds (today) with my friends. .one is on the way to buy one now ! About 1000 rounds in all
