Many people don’t know that you can actually get selenium toxicity from eating too many Brazil nuts. Doctors don’t recommend eating more than five a day and even then that’s a really high amount of selenium considering other things that you might be eating in your every day diet and including supplements. Brazil nuts are amazing for your health. They’re great for your heart and your brain and your thyroid, etc… but 1-3 per day is a good amount. A friend of mine just posted that she has selenium toxicity from eating 6-7 Brazil nuts a day for over a month. I just want to put this PSA out there. #selenium #holistichealth #holisticnutrition
