Here in Alabama we still have water temps in mid 80’s however our ambient temps are going to be upper 80’s finally with night temps upper 70’s mid 60’s. So with this information will be watching the water. Thanks for the heads up.

Is it possible for a farm pond to be turning over now beginning of September? I fish one about 5 acres we went last Thursday and these bubbles were coming up from the bottom all over the pond water just looked different? This is in Ky. and its been record highs.

@@Rightiswrong-qv5ul if you haven’t experienced cooling air temperatures then it’s highly unlikely that what you’re seeing is turn over. You didn’t mention how deep the pond is but remember, the body of water needs to have enough depth to create a discrepancy between the upper and lower water temperatures. I will say however, that one telltale sign of a lake that is turning over is that it will get almost cloudy with debris/silt and may even give off a stale type odor.
