i bought a second hand rod recently with a casting trigger added onto it. pretty cool thing that helps me cast further and no danger of skinned fingers haha

I like the float stopper being a bit of tape. I don’t know how many times I’ve got all set up and then remembered the bloody float stopper…..undo everything and start again…

Great video with good tips, thanks Nev. 👍 I hurt my finger like that once, then I got myself a casting trigger called a "Breakaway Cannon". It was only $15 on ebay and it works great!

I like the casting cannons with braid because they save grief if I forget to tighten the drag or something bad happens with my cast.

Line wrapped around my finger on the cast, looked a lot worse then it seemed I just didn't want to disturb the viewer haha. Its been a week now and its still healing, will get there haha

Love the videos mate, but you’ve just cost me $1800...... Baysports Pro XL 4m Kayak, watersnake trolling motor, fish finder etc etc. Had to join the club, as it looks like too much fun. Might catch you out there on day as your favourite little estuary is also one of my favs.

Another quality video Nev. Really felt for you when you skinned the finger, thankfully ot wasn't a deep set hook cos that's just about the worst as far as fishing injuries go! At least you got a decent bag out of it. So silver linings!

I had a cut like that when I broke up my lab chow and pitbull fight the pitbull bit my finger and cut way down to the bone about an inch long didn't go to the ER instead just cleaned it out and warp the cut-up use my weapon on it Neosporin still have the scar but my cut healed just fine.

Awesome squid session mate! Probally one of the most relaxing squiding videos I've seen. Does get abit hectic on the piers and the kayak! Ouchy pinky though. It did look like you were squeezing that wide squid's head with its eyes so far apart lol.
