Love the really close up images. Like the at 4:25 love how it has 3 different textures in it. Love macro photography it gives a really abstract look.

Cheers Paul, yeah I think that was my fave. The good thing with the Z7 is the high resolution and bring able to crop in even closer. Thanks for watching mate. 😊

Thanks for your great video, macro photography on the beach is nice ! Sometimes, I use a Gorillapod for more closer macro shots, beacause it's more flexible than the tripod :) Have a nice day and summer 🍀

Otis at the beach!! Fantastic!! Your Otis looks like my Otis when I start talking, "Who you talking too??" lol "Here, dad, let me see if I can sniff something out for you!" Otis is really growing and I can see the mutual trust and respect between you both...well bonded for sure! Hope your weekend has been going well...Bruce and Otis

Thanks Bruce. I wish we had a video of the moment Otis put his paws on the beach. It was his first time there and he was really excited - jumping up and down and spinning in circles! 😁 Thanks for watching. 😊

Great seaside video Robert! Nice way to start my day here before heading out to the beach. Some really good shots in this one, especially towards the end. Lots of great textures in the boulders, seaweed, and miss. Loved the one of the old rusty bolt. You should also give Otis his own channel, it would be huge! Love watching him run around, so much puppy energy! Great stuff as always mate!

Cheers Paul. Yeah, I often see these channels of cats, dogs and guinea pigs etc. They're just running around and getting millions of views - seems way easier than a photography channel! I wouldn't change it though, love getting out every week, especially to places like this. Hopefully next time I'm at the coast I'll get some good conditions and do some seascapes. Thanks for watching mate. 😊

Thanks for mentioning where you were, I was going to ask as we’re looking at a weekend away in a few weeks with the kids and Primrose Valley on the Yorkshire Coast is on the list of potential destinations….brilliantly that’s just next to this beach - another tick in the box for that place then 😀 looks like a fab beach to spend a couple of hours on, some great textures captured Robert

Cheers Dave. Yeah, if you get just a little bit away from the busy places, like Bridlington and Scarborough, there are some lovely quiet(er) beaches. I'm sure you'll have a great time if you're nearby. 😊

The opening shots and I'm thinking that's Filey! Great shots Robert. The image at 4:25 has to be the shot of the day but I also really liked the limpet and bladderack at 8:05. Looks like you had a great day's photography despite the weather and Otis looks like he enjoyed the day too.

I wish Sony would add the focus shift function to their cameras, my results from focus stacking are always lack luster.

That's a shame Taylor, because it is a very useful function. Hopefully they add it in a future update. Thanks for watching. 😊

Hello Robert, well done Sir, just a quick question what brand and model of tripod you are using in this video? Greetings from Chicago ✌
@Robert-Bishop

Thank you. It's a VEO 2GO 235CB travel tripod. Great little tripod for when you don't want to carry a lot of weight. I think there's a slightly newer version of it now too. Thanks for watching. 😊

I've just acquired the Nikon Z 105mm macro lens. Close up, it goes down to f/51. At that aperture, you don't need to focus stack to get all of the subject in focus. So why should I focus stack at all, unless there's a background I need to keep out of focus? A lot of those images with 20+ stacked photos look like they could be taken in one shot at f/22 or smaller.

I don't use very narrow apertures for a couple of reasons. Firstly it helps to maintain a fast shutter speed and therefore reduce the effects of potential camera shake. Secondly, diffraction can become an issue at high f numbers and reduce sharpness in the image. I hear the 105mm Z is a great lens, well done for getting one, they have been fairly rare for the last few months. Thanks for watching. 😊

Wow! Nothing is banal or trivial under your lens. I just wonder why you were not using any remote to take the shots. Don't you worry of camera shake?
@Robert-Bishop

Thank you. Nearly all the shots I took were using the Z7's focus shift shooting function which is hands free. If I'm taking a single shot and getting shake, I'll usually use the 2s timer, although I also sometimes use the SnapBridge app to trigger the shot with my phone. Thanks for watching. 😊
