Girl i was on the hunt for the best flat iron and have purchased 4 in the past year. I'm still not sure any of them are better than the cheap one I bought at target years ago. 😆

I have a thin and limp hair and I needed extra style and volume and I think I am going to buy a flat iron. My question does all kinds of flat iron will look like the one you did here before I buy?

How do you not burn your fingers? I tried holding the bottom of the straightener like you, but the tips feel pretty hot!

It may be the design of your straightener, but you could try wearing a glove to protect your skin!

It looks so easy, but for some reason it's not working for me. I followed exactly and my hair is straight as a board. Or I thought I follow it exactly.😣

Try holding the straightener horizontally when positioning it for more of a true curl that will loosen up in straight hair. Practice definitely makes perfect!

Hi alexa rose I cant get the curl I been trying it non stop i have straight hair and i could not do it may you please give an advise for the curl to work please
@AlexaRoseHealy

Hi Erika! If you have super straight hair, this style works a little better on second day hair with some texture. Check the temperature setting on your straightener (I’d recommend 350, don’t forget heat protectant!) The positioning of your straightener also matters - holding it vertically will produce a looser curl/wave; holding it horizontally will create more of a curl. If your hair is stubborn, I’d recommend holding it horizontally. You can also try spraying a dry shampoo or texture spray in the night before and braid it before you go to sleep to give it a little more grip for your curls.

i have this same problem , i started curling my hair on second or even third day hair with dry shampoo & hairspray in the hair . ion use heat protecter cause it makes my curls fall , but i do this method & my curls stay for daays . when i shower i just put my hair ina plastic bag/shower cap .

I've been trying and trying! So annoyed 😂. I can't seem to turn the straightener the correct way. Plus I can't touch the end of the straightener cause it gets too hot
@AlexaRoseHealy

Some straighteners definitely run hotter at the ends than others! I'd definitely recommend using a glove in that case so you don't burn yourself. It takes practice, but you'll get the hang of it! You may find it easier to use the alternate method of wrapping the hair around the plate and closing it rather than twisting the straightener.

@@AlexaRoseHealy I tried that and it worked ok on one side but couldn't copy it on the other side 😂. I cut my hair recently and started using a blow out brush. I kinda just wanted to try new things at age 40 lol. I've always straightened my hair but just the regular way. I appreciate any advice. Idk why I can't get the same affect on the left side of my hair?
