I like it man! The more thag keeps us in our rooms playing and having fun the better man. This is one pedal I will get hopefully sooner then later. By the way great demo and playing dude, you rocked out and had some good timing of your own in there! Really enjoyable to watch

It is true that you can't screw up beets in the middle, when you push an accent it's going to come in on beat, so even if it's not exactly where it "should be" it will still be musical and in time. But if you are looping and don't have a midi looper with sync, it can be frustrating even if you have great time to get them to start and stop at the same time. If you put your looper on auto record that can help take care of the start, then you just have to stop at exactly the right point, either by stopping them at the same time (very hard) for letting the beatbuddy play while you stop the looper to set its endpoint. So even if you're going to start it again as a loop you don't want any music (or ambience) playing over the last beat because it will glitch into the start. None of the inexpensive Loopers have sync. I think the cheapest may start at 200/300. If anyone has a get around fix for this I would love to hear it.

Finally a guitar players hands free drum machine!!! Real samples from real drummers makes all the difference and you don't get that one dimensional programmed sound. That's killer you can do the intro, fills, change up the main beat, pause, tempo and all the way to the outro completely hands free. Looks so easy to use no matter your skill level with drums too!!! Definitely my next music gear purchase right here.

Just got one, I hope it’s what I’ve been missing, looks pretty awesome, I can’t stand metronomes but need some timing practice, little pricy for that, but hey if it gets the job done and makes it more fun.... thanks for the decent demo

I like the sound of the pedal and the recordings. I'm trying to compare in my head to playing with my drummer though. In my opinion, this is a good practice machine and jamming tool. But there are so many songs I play that have shifting patterns that I would need to have the ability to flip between multiple tracks to get a similar effect. If it's any consolation, in the 70s, I used to play to a record album called Drum Drops. It was a dozen or more pro studio drum recordings and that was my BeatBuddy. I had some fun with it.

Very nice demo. The selection of metal presets could be very useful, although I rather doubt it would be very useful for black metal - then again, that's not really a style that you can improvise. The price is ridiculously high at my local retailer ($400cdn for the main unit + $42cdn for the footswitch). If I ever with the lottery, though, I'm adding one of these to my home studio. In the meantime, I have a Zoom MRT-3 which has the advantage of being properly programmable. Maybe a bit stiff sounding, and a complete pig to program, but it works. Talked the pawn-shop clerk down $15 because it had no power supply, then later that evening I discovered that they didn't ship with one anyways.

can this pedal do a Kick-2-3-4-snare-2-3-4-Kick-2-3-4-snare-2-3-4 ..... or is it all shuffle full high level drum beats with fancy percusion work ...... I wanna do some oldschool 80s type thrash style drums , just a simple standard double bass beat,,,,,for exmple..... 1983 Tommy Lee, or Ratt or 1983 Lars or stuff like that.?

I no longer think this is what I need after thinking it was perfect. I want to create a full song all the way through in the beatbuddy manager and press the button once and for it to play the whole song with the LED timing metronome. I have enough to do with guitar/pedals/singing, let alone activating the intro/chorus/outro and fills etc myself. If it was half the pric ei might have got one and for them to then sell the footswitch separately that you seemingly need seems a bit of a money spinner on their part.

Well I had mine this morning and it sucks! I mean it realy sounds bad, overpriced, massively overpriced, over hyped and get this IT DOESNT SOUND REAL, IT IS NOT REAL DRUMMER SAMPLES! It's awful, the fills sound like youve thrown a drummer down the fucking stairs! Diger - digger - digger - fish! ITS QUANTISED, ITS NOT SAMPLES DONT LISTEN TO TONE KING OR ROB CHAPMAN,
@Strabbs12345
8 жыл бұрын
+rickmangler its irrelevant,, they ARE NOT samples of drummers grooves, samples of snares kicks crashes etc have been industry standard for decades, and that's what you get here, NOT grooves, just hits! there's a subtle difference you might not be picking up on! I was lead to believe, and I've been back to watch said videos to check, that they had sampled drummers playing GROOVES, which implies feel, pushes, laying back, all the things drum machines traditionally fail to capture, and which the beat buddy fails to capture. Iam after FEEL!
