When we saw this scene at the movie theater, we all jumped out of our seats with excitement! This was the coolest shit goin down at the time! I get the same feelings 35 years later! Just bad ass! Rock Steady Crew!!

The best ever battel scene. My daughter was a dance extra in Beat Street. The Rock Steady Crew and some of the NYC Breakers hung out in my house. I have tons of pictures of them dancing in my house and in clubs. Unforgettable times

This has to be the most complete scene of the infamous Roxy battle between the NYC Breakers and Rock Steady Crew. Up until this video, we had only seen pieces of this battle scene. Like this video because it is a rare piece of footage and American heritage history.

I agree. I get the feeling that "Breakin'" was Hollywood's attempt to make a "Saturday Night Fever" for hip-hop. Thankfully, they failed, and hip-hop didn't meet the same fate as disco: oversaturation way too soon.

break is the largest film I've seen in my life. Excellent music and dancers. Thanks to the film makers to get a photographic record of this era. Africa Bambaataa, Rock Steady Crew, New York City Breakers, Grand Master Flash live legends. This movie is part of a break in history. Hip Hop Break Dance but I live in the greatest .... I like how Breakers Revenge doesn't really have song structure. No real "hook". It just goes on various directions. The only consistency is that bass line and it's over all dopeness. Reminds me of Man Parrish' song Hip Hop Be Bops joint in that regard

I am 23. Not sure what the problem is... I was comparing the old school breakdancing to what I see now a days. I said that I like the old school style because it is more focused and seems to go along with the music better. The recent breaking is what I do not care for...

just remember that night at the roxy club i was there rock steady crew only had 6 members and one was a girl baby love and NYC breakers had 8 crew members if mr freeze and wiggles was there for rock steady crew they would of won hands down even tho there both excellent breakers with diffrent syles RIP to kurika buck 4 and glide much love respect to all god bless .
