13:45 You were misreading. It's actually "Amursk", and it was so easy to guess, because it is a place along the river "Amur", which is quite historically well-known.

19:27 there is swedish towns with finnish looking names in the very north, i suggest taking a look at the toponyms map in the swedish plonk it guide if you want to improve regionguessing in that country :)

Yeah, It's actually a Finnish town name. Usually found around Tornedalen, a region that spans the northern border of Sweden and Finland.

That nuclear power plant was Grafenrheinfeld near Schweinfurt where I'm from. :-) I thought it might be it because of the layout with the two cooling towers and the small reactor building. They all look a bit different and that one was really familiar. I know some people who worked there as engineers, but it is no longer in operation just as - I think - all German nuclear power plants are offline by now.

Two basic comments. Firstly, the German word “Furt” translates to “ford”, so a river passage. Most cities called …furt were at important river passages before bridges were common. Many are named strangely looking at them today, like Schweinfurt (Schwein mean “pig”), but though the etymology is unclear, it is likely from Latin “suinfurtis”, which means “shallow ford” (firstly mentioned in documents from 720 AC “Suinuurde”, while Frankfurt is literally the “ford of the Franks” (Franks being a major Germanic tribe). Secondly, Malta: You are right, Malta consists of three inhabited islands. Malta, Gozo and Comino. Comino is the small one between Malta and Gozo, it has (iirc) about 2-3 permanent residents and a (small-ish) hotel. It has no car traffic and is only served by a shuttle boat by the hotel pinging back and forth between Cirkewwa (Malta), the hotel on Comino and Mgarr (Gozo). Also, there are tourist boat shuttles from several points on both main islands pinging to the blue lagoon situated basically between Comino and the uninhabited island of Cominetto (the largest uninhabited island of Malta). Quite a nice place, but awfully crowded. I was on vacation in the Comino hotel, but though the blue lagoon being just over a ridge about 500m from the hotel, I only visited the lagoon once. Thankfully, the crowds don’t bother the hotel.

Cheers for Schweinfurt, my home town! I was really thinking hard there what "...furt" that could be because that red squiggle looked far too short for everything I could come up with. Never thought of Erfurt!

@@saynada76That's weird, maybe it took you to the other road just across the border? The sign he saw was Swedish but with a Finnish place name, so it was obviously near the border if he had recognised that.
