I'm glad he mentioned the Naboo starfighter, but I'm not sure he appreciates the cheat code for what it is. That was most likely the last great cheat code we will ever see in gaming with all the data mining anymore. The Naboo ship was in the game for a year unknown to anyone until The Phantom Menace came out, and then the code was released. That's freaking awesome and so sad that we will never get anything like it in games again.

Okay so, fact n' clarification time since this is one game I played endlessly growing up Nearly every ship in the game has some sort of special function in the game by pressing the Right-C Button. The X-Wing's wings (S-Foils) fold into a closed position. You'll move faster but your weapons are disabled until you open them up again. The Y-Wing's are the aforementioned Ion Cannons. The V-Wing's is a speed booster. All except two ships have alt firing modes that trade fire rate for power and accuracy. Except for the V-Wing, which gives you speed and power with its Rapid Fire function, but this also shares a heat mechanic with the speed booster The yellow boxes are bonus upgrades that are automatically applied to all applicable ships when the mission is finished. While most are just power and homing upgrades to Secondary Weapons, there are a few applied universally such as Advanced Lasers (found in Battle Above Taloraan within the Cloud City-like area) which doubles your laser potency and Advanced Shield Technology (in The Jade Moon in an outpost just left of the trench area at the beginning.) which grants you an extra solid hit (represented by the gauge starting out as blue instead of green) The X-Wings have Proton Torpedoes but in Rescue of Kessel, they were modified to have ion cannons instead.. This is the only mission in the game to alter a ship's secondary weapon. The Beggar's Canyon Run has you fly the T-16 Skyhopper, something seen in Episode IV. It's basically a civilian craft that can be customized to have weapons. The Battle of Hoth is from Empire Strikes Back. The AT-STs and AT-ATs made their debut here in the movies. This is also the final level because this entire game was inspired by the Shadows of the Empire's rendition of this battle because of how grand it was, especially for its time. Aside from the Buick and the Naboo Starfighter, you can also unlock the Millennium Falcon and a TIE Interceptor as playable ships. This game has a grading system based on your results tally. and you can get a Bronze, Silver or Gold Medal. Getting medals on all missions will not only unlock some additional stuff but whenever you get all medals period, the ending will be extended. Getting Bronze simply unlocks Beggar's Canyon. Silver nets you the Death Star Trench Run, and Gold, Battle of Hoth. However, if you get Bronze on the secret missions, you'll unlock the Falcon permanently. Silver gets you the Interceptor. Gold will remove the ship limit on missions, letting you pilot any craft on any mission that doesn't require the Speeder. The Naboo Starfighter's existence in the game was a closely guarded secret when the game was new. In fact, only the few who put the ship in there knew of its existence and it wasn't in the PC version until it was patched in. When the Phantom Menace was close to release, Factor 5 advertised the codes as a sort of surprise cross promotion. The fact that the codes to unlock it didn't trigger a confirmation sound and had no apparent theme to them made them all the more hard to guess. Oh by the way, do not *ever* pause the game while flying the Buick or it will automatically crash the game. Don't know why it does that, it just does.

So, about the Speeder and tow cable. Roping an AT-AT is actually a lot of fun, but it does take some practice. The optimal way to do it is to start with the Speed travelling tangentially to the AT-AT and then simply maintaining a constantly turn to the left or right. If you have to change your left-right input during the turns, you're very likely to either hit the AT-AT or fly too far and snap the cable. Also, I noticed you never used the air brake when shooting ground targets. You really should have.

I've noticed you don't look at the manual to these games before playing them. In fact the only time I've seen you look at a manual was to look up how to do a super move for a tennis game you ended up not being able to pull off. Most games of this era didn't have tutorial mission that held your hand while you learned how to play them. My advice for you is to find the manuals these prior to playing them and look up the controls. In the case of this game, you would've figured out about the air brakes mentioned in a previous comment.
