Beautiful..I've loved this song since I was a child in County Clare..You have a gorgeous soft melodious voice..I remember singing this ballad in a Folk Club in Dublin many many years ago. It's since been popularized by Christy Moore . The first person I ever heard sing it was a guy called Paddy Breen from Kilmihil County Clare..Long before Christy recorded it..You should sing the whole song..and upload some more..M

Back again to listen to what I think is the best version of this beautiful ballad. The Cliffs Of Dooneen are in fact in County Kerry, Ireland not County Clare. Most people think it's a County Clare ballad. I first heard it sung as a child at a Fleadh Cheol (Irish Music Festival) in Kirush, County Clare in 1963. It was sung by the late Paddy Breen from Kilmihil.. Also a fine flute player. Christy Moore recorded it 40 years ago and the rest is history. The other one I associate with this ballad is "The Fair Of Spancilhill"
