This is the biggest #2 song of all time. It was #2 for 10 weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, but couldn't quite make it to #1. I bought this album the day it was released back in 1981 and it never left my turntable for weeks. This group, this album, and this song mean so much to me. Lou Gramm was at the top of his game and in my opinion the best rock vocalist of all time.

Yeah, and the song that kept it from being #1, was Olivia Newton John's -Physical. Ridiculous if you ask me. Then, in the tenth week, Physical fell from #1, but Hall &Oates- I Can't Go For That, leapfrogged Foreigner for #1, Foreigner stayed at #2.

Foreigner really stands out due to their timeless mid-tempo, easy-to-listen rock songs that have the best of the 80s in them that lived on in pop and rock songs until today. Songs like Urgent, Cold as Ice, Juke Box Hero ...and the one you just heard all were big hits that survived the test of decades. For sure they are worth listening today still, especially if you never heard them before. True evergreens.

To this day, of all the music out there (especially coming from a drummer), this is still my favorite song of all time. From the perfect, yet simple drum riff that stays on time like a metronome to Lou Gramm's perfect vocals, the bass guitar. Mick Jones' keyboards, background vocals to the introduction of Mr. Thomas Dolby who was new to the music scene, yet worked up that perfect spacy synthesizer intro. They had reduced in size from 6 to 4 members when "4" was released, it was their 4th album and also produced the hits "Urgent" & "Jukebox Hero". In fact, every track on the album is great - it was one of those albums you had to have if you appreciated music in the early 80s.

Fantastic back story to this song too. Apparently, when they were recording the album, there was still room for another song but the band didn’t have any material. Lou Gramm was in the recording booth and he saw an extraordinarily beautiful woman sitting in the sound engineers booth, behind the guys sitting at the mixing desk, and it was her outstanding beauty that inspired the lyrics. After recording the song in basically one take, Gramm went to find out who the woman was, but she had gone. The producers thought she was with someone from the band, but it turns out that she was just some random woman who just happened to be in the right place at the right time
