If kids are old enough to use gay as an insult, they're old enough to actually learn what it means. There's hundreds of kids movies with straight couples and male/female kisses and it's fine, but a gay kiss is 'spoiling' the children? The baby doll made me tear up. My mom was deadset that she wasn’t going to raise a racist. So, all of my baby dolls were not only white but were of Color, as well. Same with my Barbies. She got me Barbies of every race, even the series Barbie had in the 90’s of dolls dressed in traditional clothes from around the world. When a Black family moved in to the neighborhood my mom made me introduce myself to them and play with the kids who ended up becoming some of my best friends. It worked. I think all parents should raise their kids this way and good on this child’s father for doing that.

My parents raised me much the same way and let me play with any toys I wanted, regardless if they were for “boys” or “girls”. Ohhh, notice the baby has a black doll in her stroller, that in itself shows how she's being raised. Excellent parents. That's why I say learning begins in the home. Again Excellent parents!

This video almost made me get emotional. I love that the little girl’s parents are raising her to appreciate dolls of every race. She was clearly mesmerized by the beautiful lady in that stunning dress, and probably wondered if she was a doll come to life. She just had to touch to immerse herself in the realness of it all. If we had more of this in the world, there’d be less hate and a greater acceptance of all people as brothers and sisters of the human race.

I used to babysit when I was in college. The kids who’s parents had dolls of all races and books featuring all people were soooooo much less problematic. Us people of color can see the very noticeable difference even in adolescence when kids are properly raised like this.
