I had to do a parole violation in another city than where I’m from, at that city’s community corrections facility. So the only job I could find at the time, was telemarketing. I’m not cut out for it. It was hard to keep my mind on my work, and I kept thinking of my case and how my attorney would be securing my imminent release. So on my second day, when I would call a customer, I would ask them crazy things, like what color underwear did they have on, whether it was a female or male. Any number that didn’t answer, I rescheduled the call back on midnight on New Years Eve. Didn’t take long for a pop up on my computer screen telling me to go to the office, where I was informed that I was fired. I blew their minds when I smiled and said “okay”, and walked out the door. I returned to the facility, and when I was signing in, I was informed that I was being released that night at midnight. It was a great day.

Cold calling is one of the roughest sales areas. Either you get dead calls or you get screamed at. This one company I worked for twenty years ago had two "professionals," which was literally a husband and wife drilling pages of phone numbers until they found a prospect that they knew would take the sale, they wasted no time on people that had any sensibility.

They say Butt-Head comes from a well-to-do family and is hanging out with Beavis just for fun. Anyone knows any information on this?🤔

It's a fan theory that's been going around for some time now. I don't think there's anything in the show that hints at it though.
@calzabbath

His slightly better lexicon and articulation could point to that, but I think he's just smarter than the borderline Beavis. Who incidentally is far less malicious and mean. There's another theory going around, they do have moms (sole parent of course) who are working all day and leave them on their own to look after themselves, which would explain the fact they have a home.

@@calzabbath interesting, but then I wonder at least why no one comes from school to see them and stuff and whether it's allowed to keep minors on their own that long.

@@user-ui7iy4vk1e it is also rumored that their moms have other "activities" at night. Both have mentioned them on occasion, or mocked each other's on that very reputation. Which would point to them being somehow present in the boys' lives. There's also an episode where they unknowingly meet their fathers, looking much alike them: two ex Motley Crue roadies turned drifters and living in the desert. Apparently they spent with their mothers just a single night...

Nah, somebody has got to play the "Straight Man". Abbot always seemed a bit smarter than Costello. Butt Head is one of the best "Straight Men" in Comedy Duo History. (Henh,, he said "Straight Man".).
