Frosty, to make your experience more enjoyable, I suggest starting over with a "custom game". You can lower "patrol frequency", "length of daylight", "crate respawns", and a bunch of other options.

You make a very good point. I really thought playing on "Normal" was the way to go because it's as the Devs designed it....but I was wrong! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment....I love the feedback!

@theFrostySurvivor "Normal" is for people who have been playing the early access release, knowing all the mechanics, and already beating the game before and after each new element was added in the monthly updates. ie: knowing the map, knowing where essential tools are, knowing the combat and attack patterns of enemies, as well as base-building and armor basics. People who played The Forest, know how brutal that game was: no map (GPS right at the crash site), all foot-travel (Golf carts and Hang Gliders), and no hints as to where to go.(GPS points of interest and caves already on the map). I guess they forget that, when they're being so spoiled with SOTF. It's a HUGE upgrade if they give it a fair chance. Just monitor your health and physical requirements closely (food, water, sleep), and you'll have a much more enjoyable experience. Also *Health Mix* 🫣

@@cri-six I guess I missed that about the Normal settings when I was getting started. I really do appreciate the tips and suggestions. I think a Custom Game so that I can get use to everything is a good idea.

You can't add chopped firewood to a camp fire, with rocks around it.

In what world can't you add wood to a fire, simply because it's got rocks around it?! Oh yeah, the SOTF world. LOL, thanks for the tip.
