⚽️ Speed Secret # 3 - Hypertrophy 🏋️
Many mistakenly believe that bigger muscles make you slower on the pitch. Yes, you have more mass to move as bigger muscles make you weigh more. But it is proven that a larger muscle can generate more power and that can be transformed to speed. This factor is very important in the formula to get faster! 🏃
To get a muscle to grow, it's important to train it very hard so it gets tired. Then to let it rest a few days for about 48-72 hours. So that gives you 2-3 sessions a week. This is called hypertrophy training ✔
It is recommended for optimal hypertrophy training that you perform 3-5 rounds where fatigue arrives within 8-12 repetitions. Repeat until you reach fatigue (but keep the quality of the movement) and find out where you are in the range 👇
Under 8 = too difficult (less weight)
Over 12 = too easy (more weight)

You may want to do more than one exercise to train your leg muscles. Just be sure to train in this way (hypertrophy training) to increase your muscle mass 💪 and remember to eat enough so the muscle has fuel to grow.
