I was an employee, then became self-employed in 2017. Then, I tried going back to being an employee twice after that, because it get can get lonely sometimes. But, I couldn't do it anymore. Both times I lasted less then two weeks. It reminded me how miserable I was being an employee. I'm at the point of no return. Once you taste it with SUCCESS you won't go back.

You're living the dream brother. The barometer for success nowadays is where you can live a productive & fulfilling life not centered around greed and money. I'm finding myself in a similar road quite unintentionally ever since the start of the pandemic. After landing what was supposed to be a 3 month freelancing gig, here I am, almost a year in, freelancing for the same company, able to work wherever I want while having the time and energy to learn and pursue other interests. Sometimes it's tempting just to go back to corporate but this journey has really been an eye opener and you're making it even more compelling not to look back. I must agree and admit that it's a little tougher being alone, fending for yourself out here in the world of freelancing but this kind of content is a great reminder of the unlimited upside in this digital renaissance we all find ourselves living in with all the opportunities available out there as arguably a superior alternative to just taking the safe, Jurassic corporate rabbit-hole route. I have yet to figure everything out but it's revitalizing to hear your testimony that this kind of career can truly be pursued. Let's keep going. Cheers!

I just discovered your channel. 2022 was a big learning experience for me, I started freelancing back in Uni, I was making 10 times the min wage in my country with no formal education other than a HS degree... I graduated last year, 2021, and I quit my freelance career to enter the rat race. Now that 2022 has ended, my income was reduced by half and my freedom as well. Most stupid mistake I have ever done, I know, but at least I learnt something... I'm going back to freelancing next year.

The great thing about these KZitemrs is, they are honest with themselves and explain their process to us. I am not old, but definitely not very young. Some of the KZitemrs are earning what I earn in a year, in the time period of a month, doing the same exact things, slightly better, but as soon you start doing it yourself, you understand there are a lot of things that made them successful, & everyone has to do it & see it for themselves. In a world, where it is easy to be disrespectful and demotivate people, be someone who uplifts the spirit and motivates. Great videos man. Love from India.

Freelancing mean working with Freedom. When im still studying, working in a corporation or company was dream. but it turns out, it was a nightmare and the environment was so stressful. Being fed up with a work for a whole day plus overtime for the whole week. With a negativity around you every hour while working. one of the worst part is there is no boundry between workplace and home. its like you in a work 24/7. feels like im just alive but not living my life the way i want. as i watch this video, i get inspired to do what ive started.

I was laid off during the pandemic from my assistant manager clinical lab job. And frankly, after 30 years of being underpaid and overworked to be let go from a LAB job during a pandemic because the company was cutting costs made no sense to me. We were pumping out drive-through COVID tests all day long in addition to our regular hospital workload, which was ridiculous on an island. I'm a self-published fiction author, however, so I thought I'd try freelance writing. It took a full 2 years before I started getting work as a freelancer, surviving first on unemployment, then on a variety of minimum wage part-time & temp jobs bc my former hospital was literally the only game in town and I could no longer travel for a job with animals to care for. Now I'm WFH, took early SS, and things are getting better every day since August. At least I can pay (most of) my bills this month, and I'm building a client base of agencies (cold pitching isn't working). Even if I hadn't gotten laid off, I was still actively planning to escape to freelancing before retiring. It sure beats the 730am - 6pm+ , 24 hrs-on-call, endless corporate meetings gerbil wheel I was on and has definitely improved my mental & physical health. Get used to it corporate America, freelancing and WFH are here to stay!
