This is a brilliant compilation, some I've never heard, I've been listening to it the past few nights, picking up where I left off the night before, I'm almost at the end, (I've just got 'Lucky Hans' to go) but I'm definitely adding it to my 'sleepy stories' playlist, I'll come back to this collection. Thank you to all the narrators, I found them all pleasant. 🤗💛

Absolutely amazing channel I found!! Cant thank you enough. One suggestion though. Can you add the environmental noises(snow falling, fireplace Crackling) when you are narrating about them? It will be so realistic.

I always thought Paul Bunyan was supposed to be some old fashioned ideal of a man. A hyper masculine lumberjack who was so big and strong because he ate so many pancakes or whatever. I certainly never thought of him as one who finds poor little lost, cold animals and cuddles them to sleep in front of the fire and stays with him on the floor just so he wouldn't wake up frightened in a new place, for a week. Shows what I know.

Like most of your followers, I originally started listening to your stories to help me fall asleep. I also continue listening all night to help me stay asleep. I keep two play lists, one of the male narrators and one of the female narrators. I was quite excited to see this collection of stories. However, I was woken partway through because you have mixed stories of both male and female narrators into one collection. Please, in the future, keep them separate. The difference in times of voice is simply too jarring and wakes me. I am quite sure that I am not the only one. Thank you from a loyal follower who has been with you since the recording "Cosmic Voyage" (maybe your third/ fourth recording?).

I know this is called sleep stories for grown ups but it's there any reason this wouldn't be appropriate for 8+ year olds? I listened to the beginning of the Greek mythology post and didn't find any issue despite the subject being complicated in historical context. It will take a while to get through a 3 hours preview myself without falling asleep.
@SoothingPod
Жыл бұрын
It is completely appropriate for 8+ as well, possibly even younger - this particular compilation. We adapted these stories so that grown ups can listen to it too - however, all our stories are actually done in family friendly manner so that children can listen to it too. Greek mythology might be too complex for 8-11(12) years old, might be hard to understand and even possibly confusing - due to some "facts" there that can be hard to explain to the child at that age (Zeus married to his sister, for example) - so for 8-12 years old we recommend starting with maybe Theseus and Minotaur, Achilles, Pandora's box etc. and slowly preparing them for the rest in Greek mythology.

Can you maybe also hire some female voices for these sleep videos. The entire sleep podcast genre seems to be dominated by men's voices. We need more podcasts like yours, but with variety in the voices...

I hate the background noises, I find them so irritating. All music and white noise distracts from the soothing voice. Pity, there is no non noise selection of tales.

Agree with you, do not understand why they add background music to audiobooks, all I want is to listen to the story, if I want to listen to music I choose it from my list and listen to it!
