Yep this song was originally set for the Saturday Night Fever with John Travolta. That's actually where the white suit comes from, you can tell if you see the picture of the movie. In the beginning of the movie John Travolta is strutting down the street with a can of paint. It also came in the sequel to Saturday Night Fever which the movie was called Stayin' Alive. It's when Tony (John Travolta's character) auditions and lands the lead to a Broadway show. At the end of the movie this song was played as well after Tony finishes the debut show and struts out down Time Square to this song. I love The Bees Gees. May Robin Gibb and Maurice Gibb rest in peace.

Most airplayed song around the globus - every 20 seconds - this plays everywhere around the world and for sure it is the most iconic song of the 70´s decade. It’s an indelible cultural hallmark. None of that happens if that opening scene, is set to any song other than “Stayin’ Alive. I can’t imagine one single production tweak that could make “Stayin’ Alive” work better. Everything is exactly where it should be. “Stayin’ Alive” is one of those songs that sounds like it’s always existed. It’s crazy to think that human beings had to make it up out of nothing. It’s a part of our shared cultural heritage now - one of those pop miracles that just never gets old, never wears off, never loses its charge. It remains alive. And indeed one of the most covered pop songs in history

The Beegees weren't just a normal band, they were child prodigies whose father taught and promoted them much like Mozart's father did or Michael Jackson's father did. They were just lucky to come out of it more well rounded then the others. Of course their younger brother didn't. The only thing that could make their music better is to hear it live. They were one of the few performers who sounded just as good or even better live. They were also ingenious composers who wrote tons of hits throughout the 80s and 90s for other musicians.
