To be perfectly honest.... I was not a fan of the "disco era" music. But now listening to songs like this is very pleasing. Like you mentioned.... we paid little attentin to the lyrics back then and now I find the lyrics very heart warming.

More Than A Woman is a terrific song. Of course, it came from my all-time favorite album Saturday Night Fever. Also worth noting, this song was also recorded by Tavares and it's also on the Saturday Night Fever album. I don't know whether or not you've heard it but Tavares does a nice job with their version of More Than A Woman and is worth checking out.

My two favorite lines from any song are "We can take forever just a minute at a time" from this gem by the Bee Gees and "High and dry out of the rain, it's so easy to hurt others when you can't feel pain" by Hall and Oates on their classic single Rich Girl.

Nights on Broadway by the Bee gees, the original track, is the perfect blend of falsetto and head voice, you should listen to that one soon.

@@susieq9801 Those are good too, but they don't have the Barry falsetto notes throughout the song, which Barry only did in the track since it's impossible for Barry to sing the chorus of the song and the falsetto notes at the same time. Of course if they want to listen to the live versions that is perfectly fine, but the original track is perfectly done and I think that it should be listened to first before the live versions.

just to say thank you for liking my favorite group since always because you are young and obviously you have not known them like me in real life and it makes me happy to see young people who are interested in the music of my youth over the years 50-60-70-80 cool... and it's them who sing... and it's the best-selling group in the world with more than 500,000 albums sold in 5 decades and more than 250 awards received around the world before that the one in the middle (Barry Gibb September 1, 1946 Age: 77 years old) of his real name did not lose his two brothers for various reasons of life and he sang together since he was 7 years old for his that their harmony is perfect too ...(he also lost another brother who sang really well also Andy Gibb who sang to him with his real name who left at only 30 years old from poor attendance lol.... his sad thing was in 1985 and yet he had all for him and was loved by the two most beautiful women of the time Olivia Newton John and then Victoria Principal and had also written a song from the cult film Saturday Night Fever (you should be dancing) to which Travolta danced.. . and who also sang this style of song so well... ANDY GIBB I Just Want To Be Your Everything (4'33'') live video 1977 he was 22 years old.. kzitem.info/news/bejne/t6GEy6OKnHmopZg

To know for all those who didn't know because I was on this shoot at the time and Travolta almost didn't make the film because 1 month before the shoot he had just lost his girlfriend in an accident and was still very affected and he wanted to make the film as a tribute to her...(and even if there were difficult filming conditions because he was already a star in New York at the time because he was in a TV series filmed there popular, that's why we were filming in the street at 4-5am because too many people came to see the filming).. here's some cool information to know...

This song has great meaning for myself, this is a short time just before I met my future Wife . At a period in time when it seemed getting divorced was a normal way of life. I can Honestly say that my wife is my best friend, and has always been my best friend since we met. I can't help but feel blessed, she probably saved my life, I was pretty reckless at that time, already broken a Butt-load of bones and still healing.

Not just Kate Bush, but also the Bee Gees invented themselves new again and again over six decades (well, 5 full decades from 1960s to 2000s plus, not sure, if I want to count 1950s or 2010s, when Maurice was dead). This song is obviously from their Saturday Night phase, when they introduced their falsetto singing. Great time and song!

This feels like a song mother is introducing to daughter.Whereas Kate Bush is the other way round. It has such a great disco beat. You feel you have to dance to it.I am really rooted in 70s Prog so the Bee Gees were a bit too pop focused for me but I love that rhythm. If you are concentrating on male singers who use the upper register of their voice,I would like to recommend a song by Jon Anderson of Yes.One of his solo songs called Hold On To Love.It has a fantastic dance beat and there is a brilliant video for it here on YT which starts with an old movie clip.Well worth a look. It's also an unusual image for Jon.He doesn't normally look like a matinee idol!

So I just listening to this song and it got me thinking. You guys should react to “Grease” by Franki Valli. Barry Gibb wrote this song for the musical in 1978. Such great horns and beat, and Franki still has such an amazing voice just like he did when he was in the 4 seasons in the 60’s. Fun fact: the movie “Jersey Boys” is about Franki Valli and how we got the 4 seasons together and their rise to fame. I highly recommend it.

G'day, What another nice choice from BeeGee's. So lovely to see mom introducing Daughter to classic bands and singers.keeping good music playing. There is 1 song that would make both of you happy that is. Barry Gibb & Michael Jackson. "All in your name" this song was only Released after the passing of MJ. So i read if it is true or not. Still a nice collaboration. Also your mom may also remember the fourth brother of BeeGee's ANDY GIBB who was seen in a song You should be dancing. Then left and went solo. He passed away . There is a song by BeeGee's "For whom the bell tolls" The video will give an idea why this was done where it was He also collaborated with Olivia newton john and abba . There is a video on KZitem. Since i noticed you have reacted to Abba. Keep up the fantastic reaction. Live it.

Ladies, as an Australian, may I suggest the song Spicks and Specks? This was the hit in Australia that enabled them to get back on a boat and share their music worldwide. We have a popular music quiz show named after this song out of respect. Also, I strongly advise you seek out a documentary series named Long Way to the Top (so called because of AC/DC). It was televised by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and covers the disco era, including Australia's influence via Bee Gees, John Paul Young etc. thanks to a record label called Vander and Young. This label has family connections to AC/DC by The Easy beats and the remarkable Young family. I hope this information falls for your interest and enjoyment. Best wishes from OZ, I just subscribed.
