Here's another recipe for Argentine Empanadas. These are made using Beef cut into cubes and baked in an Earthen Oven. A very country style empanada with the taste an aromas that only earthen ovens can give baked food. Enjoy!
Recipe:
(for 2 dozen Empanadas)
1 lbs of Roast Beef or Steak
1 lbs of yellow onions
1 Green Onion or Scallion
1 Red Bell Pepper
60 gr Lard (1/4 Cup)
1 Tsp Dry Oregano
1/2 Tsp Ground Cumin
1 Tbsp Sweet Paprika
2 Hard Boiled Eggs
Spanish Green Olives and Raisins
Salt to taste
For the Dough:
1 lbs of All Purpose Flour
100 gr (1/2 Cup) melted lard or Suet
100 ml of Water
1 Tbsp of Salt
