@@ramblinman4197really, is that how you see the world?. Its very common for drivers to approach another team or driver in a pit stall or garage to have a conversation about an interaction on the race track. Ferrucci was the aggressor with his approach and body language. What is sad is how American motorsports is quickly becoming more isolated from world motorsports. You don't see this type of behavior in Australian supercars, the BTCC, F1, the DTM or even the motogp. You actually don't see this behavior at club motorsports events in other parts of world that also involves junior race drivers I have seen drivers in the Australian supercars championship, walk into a team garage, approach a driver with relaxed body language, have an intense verbal conversation with hand gestures, shake hands and move on... This is the international language for, let's agree to disagree and i am showing you common professional respect, now let's but this behind us as grown adults and move on... This type of behavior isn't something to be proud of and there is clearly an issue within the American motorsports culture at the moment and it needs to be addressed.

You might want to watch the video before posting about it. Kyle Kirkwood wandered into the Foyt pit box and possibly said something, which prompted Santino to come over the wall. You can tell it is the Foyt pits because (1) there are Foyt crewmembers everywhere, (2) Santino was on the side of the wall away from the car, and (3) Kyle had to walk back to his own pit box afterwards. Based on comments here, people are watching this video and assuming it was the other way round. You can say what you want about Santino but he is not the one that went looking for trouble this time. The interview you reference happened after Kirkwood had returned to his pit box. I heard the "boyfriend" comment but didn't read much into it. As for the venue, I have been wondering the same thing regarding Chevy's pending departure. If they are going to race on streets in Detroit, I would rather it be on Belle Isle. I didn't love that track but it was at least somewhat wider and could sometimes result in a surprise victory for a smaller team.

He was in a practice situation, impeded by both drivers, who refused to take blame for it, and who in fact admitted they did it intentionally. Ferrucci's "boyfriend teammate" comment had nothing to do with homosexuality. It was obviously a reference to the fact that Herta and Kirkwood were working in concert to screw up his practice session. Any other interpretation is ludicrous. Well, ….he was right to get pissed off at Kyle Kirkwood. That Kirkwood was a total idiot deliberately impeding Santino on his hot lap.

Seems like Herta and Kirkwood have some boyfriends in this chat too! Santino did nothing wrong. Ridiculous people tiptoe around 3% compared the majority of society who doesn’t give AF.

As much as I hate Ferrucci and think he should be kicked out of the series...why is he apologizing for saying BOY FRIEND Teammate on June 1st? I hate this woke eggshell era we're in.

Ferrucci should have been permanently banned from racing back in 2019, when got himself a 4 race ban from F2 and subsequently fired from Trident. He may be relatively quick - but he is NOT a driver you want on the grid.

He is entertaining, at least. Love him or hate him, he's shaking up the stodginess of the series, at least.

Writing this comment before I know the details. I bet it’s Ferrucci’s fault. Edit: I was right. Imagine my surprise.
