I’ve got the Beeline Moto, I live in the UK. It’s much cheaper here. I love it’s simplicity and the fact that I have to read the road rather than rely on a sat nav map. I’ve been all over the UK with it and would highly recommend it. It does take some getting used to though. Thanks for your review 😊

Cheaper option : an old phone a quadloc cheap Chinese copy, a usb cable and adapter for continuous power supply and ANY free GPS app. You don't even need network connection if you download the maps before ridding OR you use your every day phone as a wifi access point (in your jacket pocket). Old / second hand phones are cheap and still good enough. I mostly care about screen brightness. You can also choose a waterproof version or easily waterproof it if you don't mind closing the various orifices usually dedicated to sound and connections...

Thanks so much for your comment. I have personally used a phone for GPS before. I didn’t like the experience. Unless you’re charging the phone, it will die quickly (full brightness). And then when I charged the phone while using it, it quickly overheated. I’m sure that’s outside temperature dependent as well as if the sun is directly hitting the phone. But that was my experience. Thanks again.

Hi Enjoyed your vid. I have a beeline and found it useful for many of the same reasons you mention in your video. Especially interested in what you say re not quit hitting the waypoint and therefore not moving on. A quick function button for moving on to the next waypoint would be useful. I have spent many experimental rides where I knew the route, but followed the beeline to try and figure out what it was doing.. I would appreciate a vid on importing GPX files from another app say calimoto. I prefer the beeline to attaching my phone as if me and my bike get separated for any reason I still have my phone. Thanks Paul L from Manchester England

I got the moto beeline. After few uses, my feeling is complex. 😅😮😢😂😊. Let’s say the Cons: 1. You really cannot see the sat nav where place/ weather is dark, since this is just black and white LED. This design can be simply fix if beeline add a lighting led on the edge. 2. As a learner motorcycle riders(CBT only), the beeline app map didn’t have a option to pick avoid highway and PayPal roll. 3. Beeline maps can’t not spot recent road repair and new ⛔️ no entry signs. Just ready to cry 😭 when you find yourself at dead end surrounded by bus gate and No entry. 4. You find yourself always missed when turn left and then turn right.😮 the sat nav always point backwards all the way for few minute and not yet reroute. 😅 Pros: 1. After the accident of felling from a moped while my phone was dropped, I noticed safety always come first. The device is the perfect solution of not dropping your phone while riding. 2. This is really easy to fit on my electric scooter with 3M sticker provided. On the other hand, Germin sat nav need to fit on handlebars while is not friendly to the big moped rider. 3. 😅 the device suits those who are just weekend riders and only having a short trip to McDonald’s. 😊😅🎉

Thanks so much for sharing. I have some responses based on my experience. 1. Mine has a light built into it. Check yours. You can set it to come on by time of day, or you can turn it on manually. Scroll left or right to settings and press the power button. There’s an icon of the sun there. It will glow blue and you can see it at night. 2. I’m sorry that I do not have tolls roads in my area. This has never come up for me. 3. Once again, I have no experience with this. I know the app uses Google maps, but I’m not sure if the app uses traffic data. That would be nice if you could set auto reroutes if it sees traffic or a blocked path beforehand. 4. I haven’t experienced this either. I’ve had a few times where I’ve misinterpreted what it was showing me in an unfamiliar place, but it’s never held me up much. As for your Pros, this little device has navigated me very far from home and back. In fact, I personally think it works best on highways. Thanks again for your comments.

I purchased the Triumph version of the moto, only used it occasionally and it was in as new condition. Went to used it a couple of weeks back and it started up normally but saying there was an update available. So in the middle of the update it stopped. I contacted Beeline an they told me to try a few things which all failed and acually caused the display to bleed pixels. They then told me the unit has hardware problems and stated I would have to pay to have it repaired. The support email process took two weeks due to each time you reply to an email you get an automated response sayign the team will be in touch. Buyer Beware.

Thanks for your comment and sorry for your luck. I had a Google Nest thermostat that bricked during an upgrade. Unfortunately it’s almost “buyer beware” for every item we purchase.

Love the navigation, but it needs turn-by-turn voice navigation via BlueTooth headset.

Does the app has to be on while riding. Or can your phone be turnen off.
@UrAvgRider
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. It relies on your phone. So the phone definitely needs to be on. But as you travel along, your phone may loose connection to the internet. And like other maps, this is fine as long as you do not close the app during loss of connection.

Is it compatible with cardo sistem ? I mean, can i use my helmet intercom while i’m using the beeline?

I assume so. The Beeline will have a Bluetooth connection with your mobile phone. And so will your communicator. You will be able to place phone calls and talk comm-to-comm. I hope that Ana’s your question.

Expensive 🤔? I only payed 150€. You don't have a GPS for that price and then you still need a gos mount.
@UrAvgRider

Thanks so much for your comment. Yes, the Beeline is expensive in North America (comparatively). A motorcycle GPS from Garmin can usually purchased from a Costco for a good price. And the Garmin units come with a charging mount that wire into the motorcycle battery. But yes, this will definitely vary by country and region. Thanks again.

@@kenwarner5387 thanks for your comment. I’ve seen the Garmin Zumo 396 for $350 CDN at Costco before and I can see the Zumo XT on Amazon for $550 CDN. I definitely paid more than $350 CDN for the Beeline and the mount. Your market may vary.
