Hello Everyone and Welcome!
In this video, I am on my back deck. It's raining a little so I am set up in the doorway of my shed. (It's too small to work in there). I have been playing with ideas to improve my Beer can alcohol stove. I tried making one with carbon felt between the walls of the stove, in the hopes that it would bloom faster or burn more efficiently. It didn't work like I had hoped.
After doing some research, I found a 5 year old KZitem video from "Tim Can The Jig Man" He had tried the same thing with similar results. He realized that the carbon felt he cut might be too tall and blocking the jets. he makes another after cutting the felt down a bit. That is what I will be doing today. I will show the process I use to build and test a new stove with a shortened carbon felt.
While getting my gear ready to make the new version I got a message from a friend and subscriber. Chad was explaining to me how to make a simmer ring for this stove. Perfect timing! Now I can make the simmer ring and show you all how I do it.
A Huge thank you to Chad for the simmer ring idea and to Tim Can for the upgrade to the stove.
Please join me on this beer can Adventure!
Thanks for watching!
