Amazing arrangement. Also, what exactly is that window to the right graphing? 🧐
@pataporon
5 жыл бұрын
Thanks :) The window to the right is graphing the outputs to different speakers. The longer the line is to the upper right from bottom left (+R), the larger the amplitude of the sound wave that's being generated from the right speaker. Same goes for the line from upper left to bottom right (+L), which corresponds to the left speaker. Most devices have stereo speakers (i.e. 2 or more), but if you only have a monoaural (just 1) speaker, then the stereo channels will get collapsed into 1 channel, at which point the graph won't mean anything because you don't have a left or right speaker.

I cant remember, what are those graphs galled?
@pataporon
Жыл бұрын
Good question, Renoise refers to them as a phase meter, which shows how in/out of phase the left and right stereo outputs are. Some of the instruments were localized to the left speaker exclusively, as with the right speaker too. tutorials.renoise.com/wiki/Track_Scopes

@@pataporon I was wondering about the main graph the one with pitch on the Y axis, time on the X axis and volume represented by color. I used to know what that was called but now I don't and it's bugging me.

It's a waveform function that oscillates between min and max amplitudes, with a near zero transition time en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Square_wave
