This is extremely helpful. Thanks much for clear instruction. Could possibly give a tutorial on scherzo by Haydn from sonata in F? Thanks for your consideration

I happened upon your channel for the Amazon books reviews. I chose the Alfred book. I like your systematic approach. Resonates strongly with me. 2.8/10?! How’d you get to that number, because if you use tenths in your ratings, you have 100 options?

Great you're learning from Alfred's book. I'm glad you find my approach helpful. Yes, I show on my chart how I arrive at the 2.8 difficulty rating. This rating is also in alignment with other pedagogues. Best wishes.

The music I have is in the snail series of piano repertoire. It doesn’t have any wedges for accent marks. Which version would you recommend to show that? Thank you much for your very informative presentation

Thank you for your kind words! Please look into the links in the description - both books show proper accent marks.

almost on first place in speed playing! No correct phrasing, no Charme in the music, no pleasure in playing and listening - but fast, yeah!

Beautiful playing, but that piece is too repetitive.
