Seems like a super capable module in a small size, and you've really shown the potential of this here! Excellent!

With all the midi interfaces i always would like to see some timing experiments, to see how "tight" the midi timing and resolution is (jitter, max stable rate, etc.). A common setup is to send a bunch of parameters at the exact same beat and analyse the result on the other side and see how "tight" it is. This gets important when you wanna do some audio rate modulations with midi-parameters.

The CV Thing is pretty tight. I actually use the internal CV Delay in order to make sure the value of my pitch is correct at the moment the gate hits, so that I don't get wrong notes. That's a common occurrence with CV-to-MIDI devices but Befaco have implemented a nice way to solve this.

This is amazing!! Been looking for a module that can control midi parameters on my laptop. Thank you for sharing this :)

Thanks, it's a fantastic module for controlling a computer of other MIDI gear which is fun. Check out the VCMC from Befaco if you might need more CV/gate signals from the modular side.

This looks really cool. I've been wanting my Korg MS2000r to be slaved to eurorack clock. This module looks like it can do it.

I wonder if this would work better/different than just using Ableton CV tools or Bitwig. I was tempted by by the original module but it was a lot of hp. Glad to see they made a smaller version.

I don’t get the LFO driving the panning in Ableton. It seems to wrap around instead of oscillating around the center? Or is this intended? See 5:49

Hi Andrew, you need to set up 4 pairs of CV and gates. When you assign a left hand odd number input to 1v/oct in automatically assigns the right hand even numbered input as the gate. A midi note needs a pitch and a note on and off. So input 1 is pitch and input 2 is gate. When you assign in 3 as 1v/oct 4 becomes the gate and so on. Set them all to the same MIDI channel, set up the 4 pairs as described above and should send 4 independent MIDI notes down the same MIDI channel to your poly synth. Let me know if that works.

@sssncodesstuff3364

yes you could, but than you are going CV -> MIDI CC -> CV, loosing precision and having to set it up differently for each usage etc... much better is getting something like expert sleepers es8 /es9 and run audio/cv/gates/triggers/whatever directly between your rack and VCV?
