The label “what they don’t show you” is deliberately misleading. First, who is “they”. Second, African genetics vary greatly by region, and as a general rule Mexicans have - on average- only 2% to 4% African genetics. My family is from northern Mexico and my genetics revealed 1%. My genetics include 3% Jewish and 1% Scottish but I don’t consider myself either one of them. I’m 70 European, 29 % indigenous and yes 1% African. You’ll find most Mexicans are a mix of indigenous and European. The simple truth is most are not African.

Detracting statement. It's not mainstream knowledge. Everytime I ask a South American including Mexican, they know nothing about the black communities in their countries. They always think I'm Cuban or Puerto Rican. This was a great eye opening video and many Mexican people are also saying they didn't know this history or where to find the current communities

Like you said the first or second president of Mexico was black and the Mexicans loved him so much that they chose him over people from Spain because they're not originally from there their from Spain which is more of a European country but Spain was also where the Moors conquered thousands of years ago and so there's lots of black people in Spain too but people in the Americas are naturally brown skin here because Africans have been coming here forever that's why you see that they had the big Stone heads of black leaders that controlled North & South America thousands of years ago that's who brought the pyramids here from Africa and everywhere else in the world where they have pyramids learned from Egypt which is in Africa

My mom told me that a black lady saved me and I asked her where she had came from, my mom said she didn't know. My relative's said she was "MULATA" spanish word for mixed breed I believe and she was born in Mexico. My father has a full headed afro. It's insane how much of our heritage and real history is hid from us and withheld. Check into your roots and don't fall for their version of truth, go and find your own. Thank you for making this video and tell the world, especially Afro Americans, that we have common ancestors! There is also a Mexican national hero, José Maria Morelos de Pavón. He was a priest and later a general who was very important in Mexico’s war of independence. The Mexican state of Morelos and the City of Michoacán, Morelia are named after him. Lol. These are some of the excuses people use to justify the horrible state of Black people in their country in this time and era. The excuses are " hey we abolished slavery before the USA. A Black was a general or a deputy or a little town mayor hundred years ago" etc. We use it a lot here in France. And the USA is the only nation we use to make comparison as if it's the only non-subsaharan African country with a Black population. In France, we talk about African American of the USA 100x more than we talk about our own Black population in mainland France and in the Caribbean (Guadeloupe, martinique, French Guyana) and in the Indian Ocean (Reunion island) etc. This strange phenomenon has always fascinated me. I have no explanation for it.

As a kid my Grandmother would take us to Mexico via train (Ferro Carril) is what I think the train was called. After 2-3 days on this journey the train would stop at this village tucked between lush green mountains whose inhabitants were predominately black. I remember this vividly because I feared the train was off course and we had traveled to Africa & any min a lion was about to devour me ( I was 6yrs. ) The black children would hop on the train ( perfectly fine with the conductor) and sell there goods to all travelers. Lemon chili crawdads, goat cheese and bread. Then they'd catch the returning train back. Yes there was an entire village of black folk in Mexico. Yr. was 1977- 80

I'm reading some of these comments. Some people are still in denial. They don't believe it. But to those people. You're entitled to your beliefs. I just say leave them where they're at. Black people are hated Globally. To the Afro Mexican hold your head up and be proud of who You are. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you're less than.

Then stop being ashamed of your African roots, you say "some people" still don't believe these delusions. But MOST of the world does not believe these conspiracy theories, which they clearly are. DNA and genetic testing have found black people originate from Africa, and genetic testing of pure indigenous people in the Americas has found zero DNA from Africa and more ties to the Eurasian continent.

@@angelcruzlopez268 what is a “normal “ color? Latinos are not a race, but an ethnicity. Afro Latinos exist but most Latino nations drank the whyte supremacy kool-aid and only want the white Latinos to represent them in countries such as Mexico.

You should check out the “Costa Chica “ in the state of Guerrero. Lots of distant relatives that are Mexican of Afro descent there.
