This video is not exactly OG2018 promo. It is about key events between Sochi 2014 and PyeongChang 2018. And, yes, I know that Florent Amodio or Maxim Kovtun will not participate at this Olympics :) I meant to tell the story about personalities who had left a mark in figure skating history of this period. The order of athletes in this video is a chronological order of the events: Javier Fernandez. The first Spanish world champion - season 2014/15 Patrick Chan. Comeback in the season 2015/16 Shoma Uno. Debut in the season 2015/16 Boyang Jin. Debut in the season 2015/16. Yuzuru Hanyu. "Over 300" club opening - season 2015/16 Denis Ten's injuries. From the season 2015/16 Florent Amodio. End of the career in the season 2015/16 Nathan Chen. Debut in the season 2016/17 Quads. Risks. And injuries. Seasons 2016/17 and 2017/18

i don't know much about the technical difficulties etc. but from a mere visual point of view yuzuru is way ahead of anybody imo. his performance is on a whole different level. it doesn't even look like figure skating. he's dancing effortlessly. it's really fascinating.

The legendary GPF 2015 podium repeated again for PyeongChang 2018 - truly the best podium ever. Glad that Patrick, Javier and Yuzuru won a medal each at the Olympics, but at the same time I'm feeling sad because it is truly the end of an era.

**News** Hanyu yuzuru discarded the quad lutz and would skate with his other quads ( loop . Toeloop. Salcow ) He has changed his layout program from ( 5 to 4 quads ) Brain orser confirmed that it was his decision and all people around him approved saying that the quality of the program and spins and steps doesn't need a quad lutz He is ready 100% to defend his gold "" japan's times """ Personally , this is a smart decision to make even dick button 'two time olympic champion ' said ( he can win with only 2 quads ) We all will pray for his victory and gold medal Hope this event be a great one without any regerts to all skaters

Putting aside personal preferences, Yuzuru Hanyu has the greatest possibility to win the Gold medal in men's event. He has the highest skills and artistic elements. His programs are beautifully designed; his execution is almost perfect; and he has the power to move the audience to a very large extent. I also predict Javi Fernandez will win silver and Nathen Chen will get bronze.

Thanks comment. Can't agree more. That's why I said I have to put away my personal preference away. I can't comment on other skaters which will attract arguable debates. Most skaters are SHOWN or Seen to be passionate in skating ( like too much facial expressions) but Yuzuru is just being passionate and sensational which makes him different from other skaters

Oh Shoma is a lovely kid. I like his smiles a lot. But he’s kind of Nathen Chen’s type - very skillful at jumps but ‘far from’ the ability of moving his audience. I know he’s outscored other skaters but he’s still not on the top list of my favourite skaters ‘yet ‘!!

Lucerne Sau Yeah I get what u mean.. Too overscored and there's that issue with his prerotation thing.. A few years of skill perfection will be good on them.. Hope they won't just practice quad jump like crazy and not improving other aspects.. Eventhough the judges are blinded by their quad awesomeness ( I think? )

Amazing video as always! This Olympic quad was truly revolutionary, so many "firsts", amazing senior debuts and nostalgic but proud retirements. And well this will probably be the hardest discipline to predict, since there are at least 7 men capable of scoring a medal. Hanyu is a question mark, though Orser seems confident he will be ready next week. Chen has been on the raise, but if someone with better PCS and similar TES goes clean, it will be a struggle for him. Uno also seems to be getting better but he struggled at TDF, GPF and 4 CC. Chan and his beautiful SS can never be left out and if the men bomb, Jin can get his chance. And lastly Kolyada is a very very wild card, but if he gets it together....who knows? Can't wait, and your video just adds to the hype even more!

Si Patrick Chan o Javier Fernández consiguen hacer sus programas perfectos, pueden ganar a cualquiera.
Looks like I'm the only USA Nathan fan on here, but believe me I am 100% Nathan. He's young and not as relaxed as Yuzu's 5 years of experience. He's going to do really big things with his jumps ard those 8 years of ballet will help him. Don't underestimate Mr. Chen. He's a smart Yale student and can stay in his 300 club. He's going to change the game. He will be the one to chase. Swallow... you did a really good job. Bravo!!!
