Regarding clothes, food, etc, If someone wants to give you something, it’s OK. Americans learn from birth to share with others. We like to help others. Many, many people wear clothes that are “second hand”. This means someone else wore the clothes first. Children wear their older siblings clothes (that no longer fit the older siblings). We have “second hand” stores (Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc) for clothing and goods (pots and pans, dishes, etc) Of course, there will be people that are not like this. Still the majority are happy to help. In turn, offer to help others in need. You may not be able to give them material goods but you may be able to assist them in listening, moving furniture, other normal life tasks. When Americans give to others, it’s because that’s our culture. We feel good in helping others.

I had to take my time to read this post carefully. I had to read it thrice. I realised, albeit late that the post is from Mrs Mwakulilo. Thanks for your honest advice. On matters of food, l will cross the bridge when l reach it because l am a vegetarian and keen on organic stuff. I never eat in restaurants for obvious reasons. I like eating my food freshly prepared and one meal a day. EBM is like an uncle to me. My mom is Tanzanian. Father is Kenyan. I love the last part...do you. None cares what you do.

Here in the US we use mph (miles per hour). Our paved roads allow us to go faster in certain areas. If one goes very slow they can get a traffic ticket. This is because the extra slowness may cause an accident with other drivers.
