This video shows how to de-solder an original sync generation chip and replace it with a new sync generation replacement solution.
Details:
Bega's Battle is a laserdisc game from Data East that came out around 1983. Unlike other laserdisc games of the time, Bega's Battle contained a chip to generate its own video sync signals which its choice of laserdisc player, the Sony LDP-1000A, would sync up with. The Dexter laserdisc player replacement cannot sync up to external sync and must generate its own sync. Therefore, to make Dexter work with Bega's Battle, Bega's Battle must be modified to sync up with an external sync source instead of generating its own sync.
This video shows how to install this modification.
Bega's Battle had two conversions offered for it: Cobra Command and Road Blaster. This mod should work for those games as well.
