I agree, i went through a stage where i taught people how to solve the cube. I found after i taught them LBL that something always happened. i would tell them ok, this is your first solve , Take as much time as you want, no pressure and no rush just get it right They would always solve it , first solve between 3 to 5 mins then after some muscle memory which adds speed of course it would be between 2 to 3 mins and they were proud of every achievement where they are 10 or so seconds quicker. You're right, it's a very good thing to happen, builds confidence

@@troluciak2844 ok, well it's completely different because solving a cube is about pattern recognition and muscle memory You solving a cube on an app doesn't teach your muscle memory how to solve a real cube if you know the patterns you'll solve it in under 5min but 2 to 3 minutes is more common

@@satnus3388 and.... You can actually do that the challenge is.... Getting under 1min (aka SUB 60) which is the entire reason why Friedrich method was invented in the first place and why speed cubes were invented back in the 80s Doing LBL and trying to go under 60seconds is the equivalent of running a race where everyone runs from Point A to B but you run from A to D to C then to B in a circular fashion, it's inefficient and even if you beat them... with the energy that you expended doing it that way you could have gone faster from A to B. but yeah ok, i'll recognize that you got to 1min on LBL which is still an achievement and i won't take that from you

I did that move in 3nd grade, there was a rumour that's all we needed to know but.. the way we heard it was You do it 362 times and it solves it every time i could tell after the first 10 turns that it wasn't moving the other pieces so it was impossible to do i still did the 362 moves just in case No, didn't work as i suspected but i did learn something interesting. if you start that from a solved position , IT TAKES 126 MOVES TO GET BACK TO SOLVED AGAIN. so.. doing it 362 times was fucking stupid

I average 30 seconds. A cubing tip is when you're doing f2l. Solve one pair and then the opposite pair. This works because you don't have to look behind the cube to see which edge it is. And thats how I average 30 seconds. If you keep learning more and more cubing tips like this you could get way faster.

Until a year later I met someone who was solving the cube, ofc I asked for a race and lost with my unimpressive 44 secs with begginers, after that I discovered a whole new world with different types of cubes.
