Enjoyed your video. Nice projects. I don't find as much time for knitting as I'd like either. Glad for when I can.

I make baby blankets with the basket weave stitch! Super cute! I’d recommend getting stitch markers to mark when you need to change between knit and purls on your rows. I also keep track of which row I’m on in a little notebook so that I don’t lose my place. And I love your embroidery!

Wow I never thought of doubling and tripling my yarn for dishrags I love! It. Also I love the natural yarns you use like the ones you did on your first blanket and your sons blanket. I would love to know what yarns you use. You have a beautiful family there. ❤️

You were so smart to make white dish cloths. The colored ones run! About your cowl... You will love knitting in the round. You just have to have the right length cable for your project. Your blanket idea is great for learning stitches. Your knitting is beautiful, and I am so enjoying seeing your work.

Thank you so much for your lovely, honest comments about teaching yourself to knit. I first learned literally sitting on the floor at my Grandmother’s right knee. I was about the same age as your daughter. I think I made a doll blanket. After working with my Grandmother, the knitting sat untouched for about 10 years, then I made a few things for myself. But college and career got in the way so there was no knitting for 40+ years. Then I started again by knitting ... washcloths! Different sizes and stitches. I started looking at Ravelry for inspiration and I joined a Mystery Knit Along! In your first video, you mentioned wanting to knit socks! Well, me, too. No babies in my house any more. But I knit my first ever sock called Perfect Newborn Socks, designed by Tabitha Gandee. It is still on Ravelry. I have to admit I had to jump back to KZitem to learn certain skills, like turning the heel and special stiches for closing the toe. But I ended up with beautiful little socks. Soon, I am going to knit an adult pair. I don’t know what pattern, but I am going to do two at once, from other KZitem videos! Where would we be without KZitem....? Thank you, again, for your sweet video. I will be teaching a friend’s 6-year-old how to knit later this year. I can’t wait. I’m going to show her your daughter’s video for inspiration.

So happy you are enjoying knitting so much! We all were beginners once upon a time. Good for you for jumping in with podcasting for all the beginners out there, you’re doing great, enjoy watching so much. You’re the age of my granddaughter, whom I also taught. I think it’s precious that you’re teaching your daughter ❤️. She will enjoy that skill her whole life.❤️ I’ve taught several in my family. I started when I was 13 taught by an older cousin and I’m 72 now, still love 💕 it and have made many many wonderful things. Keep enjoying and Congratulations on a great podcast.

I love that I found your channel! I started knitting with my grandma when I was young and now I’ve gone off the deep end haha I made a crawl scarf for my boyfriends mother and she loved it!! Now I’m working on a project for his sister. It’s the terrifying color work to make a simply scarf but it is intimidating. 🤗

Have you tried knitting socks yet? I’m like you and although I learned to knit a long time ago I only picked it up here and there and mostly made scarves. Recently I have gotten back into it and now I’m obsessed! I used the crazy sock lady’s tutorial for socks on magic loop to make my first socks and now I always have at least one pair of socks going on my needles. Show us your socks once you try it!

You should be proud of you handwork. Those washcloths are a great Christmas gift I have been making them for my doctor and his staff. You can even make towels doing the checkerboard st. Here is a pattern call I think farmers washcloths. You need to use a size 8 needles ok, cast on 4 sets row1knit across. Beg pat. Inc row k2, yo, knit to end Rep inc row until there are 60 sets on needles. Dec k1,k2tog, yo, k2tog knit to end rep dec rowuntil 4 sets (k2tog) twice blind off. I use a size 8 circular needles 16inches. Use these I got mine at Joann's fir maybe $8 good luck

For cowls in the round I use 24 inch circulars. I always do a boarder as in the round garter stitch will end up stocking stitch which tends to curl.

You should get interchangable needles instead of just different cable lenghts! You just choose the size of needle you need and then you can just twist the cable of the lenght you need! So small needles, but long cable ✔️ or big needles, but short cable ✔️ I think it would be something for you ☺️
