Great stuff. I'm slowly modding my kayak and have used variations of your suggestions. I have a Lifetime Yukon 116. Its my first kayak and so I like it. Not as stable as I was hoping for to stand in but I'm enjoying it. Definitely gonna do the keel guard soon.

oh btw i know the feeling of losing a gopro in the water. me and a friend was fishing . then coming back in i was handing him something and our gopros got tangled up and my popped off and into the water it went. luckily he marked everything with his fish finder. i found a group of people on lake hartwell main lake i normally fish at. they are divers that will go underwater and find your items you drop in the lake. a week later i had my gopro back and still functioning.

Very helpful series. One DYI tip, as I couldn't justify $80.00 + shipping for the Yak Attack leverage net I had to get creative. You can buy or use your existing net coupled with a used handicap crutch from the thrift store. It doesn't have the angled curve in it but it does provide a handle as well as the arm cuff. Since I had two nets(one for fresh water and one for salt water) and the crutches came in a pair, I just made 2.

I like the Aruba 10 mods , I have a cheap Lifetime Cruz 10 also , super light. I put 2 recessed pole holders, paddle holder. Enough room for a couple 3600 tackle cases. I need to bring to the AEP ponds. Thank you for the video. The keel guards will be my next upgrade

On lightweight paddles, I have to recommend carbon fiber. I have an old Aqua Bound Stingray and a newer Bending Branches Angler Ace. Both are awesome, but I think I prefer the BB. We have cheap aluminum shaft paddles from the old rec yaks that we used for a few years back in the day. The CF are way better and worth every penny if you need to paddle. FYI on the anchor, don't anchor off the side in moving water or wind. The side will drag down and eventually swamp. Craigslist is also a good place for used kayaks. Scotty and Ram also have good transducer arms. Molle is pronounced molly.

Brother, if your ever looking to upgrade your adventure boat, I cannot recommend the OT Discovery Solo Sportsman enough. Bit of a change to get used to a canoe hull, but I have been loving mine for exactly that use. There are places that just require waaaaaaay too much effort for me to drag my Unlimited out and still enjoy the day afterwards. The OT has definitely given me the opportunity to fish/hunt spots I would normally just not be willing to deal with the hassle getting into with my larger boat. Great video!

I am really enjoying your videos, thinking of putting together a rig for myself before springtime. Since I've been devouring your videos and you were a little confused about the pronunciation of MOLLE, the MOdular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment system adopted by the US Armed Forces in the mid nineties. Pronounced 'Molly' because it is the successor to ALICE, the All-purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment, a sort of daisy-chain harness rig they had used since the early seventies. Not that I'm an army nut or anything, just a writer who loves etymology as well as camping, hiking, and fishing. ;)
