I've had freecad on my computer and managed to accomplish absolutely nothing of value with it in years. Every few months, I try again and I get stuck where I can't add a simple feature I need to a part, or the computer locks up, or an update happens and changes the functionality in some way that kills my creative drive on the project. Your video has been the best one I've seen so far. I'm hoping I can replicate what you did on my computer. I'd be interested in future videos for sure. :)

It took me fighting it for two hours but I finally made it through and drew the same thing you did! Woohoo! Somewhere there's an auto constraint setting that made things very difficult though. For instance, when attempting to correct the 84.45 degree line to 85 degrees, it throws an error message unless I delete what appears to be a vertical line constraint that set itself when I drew the line on the left to complete the profile. I followed what you were doing click for click and as with every time I have tried FreeCAD, things happened that I didn't command. I also noticed that your tool bars are totally configured differently than the default setup, which made following along tricky. I suspect that's a screen resolution setting. Your icons are tiny and nearly impossible to see but I like the way all of the tools display at once. Even on half speed, there was no way I could keep up and paused many times. This was because it sometimes takes three or four clicks of the mouse before it registers with the program, which is extremely frustrating. Anyway, I'm still definitely very appreciative of this video, but not impressed with FreeCAD yet. I would give my left nut for a stable workstation with Solidworks on it at this point.

@@wildcard2058Odd how it might appear different. I purposely used a flesh install, I do run on a 1440p monitor though, so that might be it. Thank you for all the feedback, FreeCAD does add contraints by itself at times yes, I will see that I mention those more explicitly in the future. I am working two more projects at the moment, one being a more complicated/fancy design of the flower pot. So there will surely be more!
