It actually looked like that might’ve been a little high to me. The texture of the puddle rippling like that tells me the gas is so high it’s blowing the puddle around while it’s liquid. Edit: they’re also running very hot with a lot of wire being fed. That appears to be RMD or short circuit which is not ideal for that much material being deposited that quickly.

Manipulación of the puddle or no manipulation, aslong as you get those settings dialed in to a crisp, do as you feel comfortable and make sure the edges are tying in well. Just keep a steady angle and please practice a dry run or two before striking the arc. Contact to work distance is real important. Should be about half inch to 3/4 from the nozzle to the base material. From my few years of fails and troubles. We learn everyday. But it is able to be mastered guys. Just keep on welding and practicing. Make sure things are visibly clear please. Shouldn’t have to shove your welding helmet up in there. If anything get those cheater lens to attach to the inside of your lens right on top of your lens cover. Y’all be safe.
