Great video, one of the best I’ve seen. If you could do this in a strapless board (as I’m learning) it would be a great complement!!! So we can have a view where to position our feet!! Thank you again from Paraguay!! 🇵🇾

Thank you. I've just managed to stand up and could not figure out how to get speed to lift my board. Now I know I was putting too much weight on my back leg, and everything you said was happening to me. Cant wait till next windy weekend.

Awesome Video! Have a quick question on pumping. I noticed in your video you pump clockwise when going to the left and counter clockwise when going to the right. When I do it i seem to be more comfortable going the opposite; Counter Clockwise when going to the left and Clockwise going to the right; Is one way more efficient? or just personal preference? thanks again

very well explained, also very good with the square/cross things to show where the focus is The pumping is not so good explained.

Good video but one observation I was curious about...interesting that you call toe side riding "switch" when switch in snowboarding, skateboarding and kiting would be riding goofy on your heel edge if you are regular footed and vice versa. Is toe side riding in windsurfing called "switch"?
@WingsurfingMagazine

Switch is riding with non-dominant foot front. Same as snowboarding.

@WingsurfingMagazine The "riding switch" section at 16:45 shows the rider never changing which foot is forward though. Is it maybe more about whether the front foot is up/down wind?

been struggling to learn to gybe on a starboard 115 lt board, and a 2000 low aspect foil, would it be easier on some different/ smaller kit?

Do you need the foot straps?
@nfinnigan
Жыл бұрын
Foot straps, don't they complicate things when starting off, I see they are doing no good to lock the person on the board as they are mega loose anyway. Just my opinion, thanks.

This is less of a wing and much more of a kite, both in form and in aerodynamic behavior. The name of this sport is a misnomer, it should be called Handkiting. Still cool, though.
