Hope you do an episode on starting from the "back" of the book and how to read manga panels. I don't know how many times I've given some a manga recommendation because they were interesting in getting into manga and then they come back confused. They ended up reading the book the wrong way and the panels in the wrong order, regardless of every manga have that page at the back of an english volume about reading directions... *sigh*

I don't mean to nitpick because I think you're doing a great job with this sort of content - but Sailor Moon was printed in Nakayoshi (a shoujo magazine) and is 100% shoujo by every classification of the term from content to publication origin. I just wanted to point that out for anybody reading the comments. It's definitely not shounen - however Blue Flag IS shounen as it was published in Shounen Jump+. But your point is right that some stories are surprisingly not in their expected demographic. There are some good romances in the shounen and seinen demographic (Ex: Sweat and Soap - which is seinen and for mature readers) and there's some fun psychological or action stuff in shoujo (like Basara). And there are also authors who bounce around between demographics - like CLAMP.

AJIN y’all! The anime is on Netflix and watch that then read the manga because they are completely different experiences that should be appreciated lol. both are great but some characters act very different. I’m only off the first book and some scenes that didn’t make sense in the anime are cleared up in the manga. Oh man! The first few scenes tug at your heart strings in the manga worse than in the anime. The manga is 100% more gory than the Netflix anime. I love the pop culture kewl of the art and the whole subculture thing going on, but in a lot of ways I just don't get it. Here's a thought experiment-If you had one shot at making an isolated civilization completely geek out on Mana/Anime, what would you lay on them? ....."Okay, read or watch this and you'll be addicted." I want to feel like I understand it and at least know what the best of the best is. I really enjoyed Death Note on Netflix before I realized it was a Manga adaptation and I'm ready to dig deeper. A lot of the stories though get so elaborate and complex that I hit a brick wall trying to figure out what the hell is going on.
